Hi All,
Just got tested and it came back positive for antibodies present. My wife tested and hers positive too. What symptoms did we have? A very mild cold. So, sore throat, fever (less than 101), sore throat, and night sweats (for me only). My two children under five weren’t tested, but we are sure they had it too. They were sick at the exact same time with the exact same symptoms. We also felt fatigued for quite some time afterwards. I just chalked it up to being up multiple times a night changing sheets and showering from the night sweats.
I went to a global sales conference in mid-January. That’s when I believe I got it. Two days after returning home, I was sick. A few days after I was sick the rest of the family began feeling sick. Of the people from work, MANY others also were sick. It was the talk of the office for the next week after. At the time, we believed that at least 50 of the 200 attendees came back sick. The kung flu was already here, my friends.
Three days after flying home from the work conference and one day after starting showing symptoms, guess what I did? I flew to Canada. I slept and drenched a hotel bed with my germs. Then two days later, still feeling like I had a cold, flew back home. I spread that kung flu unknowingly. This was all before the 4th week of January had completed.
Pretty sure I had it late Feb early March. Just got my antibody blood draw yesterday. Waiting on results.
My symptoms were similar: extremely sore throat, cough, chills (but no fever), fatigue, and some slight dizziness / shortness of breath. I went to urgent care after a couple days of not feeling better. Tested negative for strep, didn't test me for anything else.
I was sick after returning from a work trip to DC. Many other folks on my team were sick within a week of that time. MD/DC had first confirmed cases when I got home...
We shall see. Folks at the lab said 1-2 days (I'm assuming business days) turn around time so I probably won't have the results until next week.
