I'm looking at these 'phases for reopening'. No hope for things being back to normal for a long time if ever. These phases will be dragged along for as long as the democrats can and even if 49 States open completely, just that 1 will be a dead weight on the country. The media will also use to to scare people as much as possible too. A year from now or before the election, "massive outbreak of mutated covid-19 in (list state that is completely reopened) !!!"
Virginia's gov. Klanrobes announced the state will reopen in 5 phases, but he doesn't even know what phases 2-5 are, at all, but knows there must be 5, but also we're in phase 0, and phase 1 could take 2 years.
I'm afraid you're right. I mourn for my state and this country. I'm afraid if we ever want to purge these parasite communists, it'll have to be the hard way.
Its not just Democrats, though. Its RINOs too. Gov. Baker of Massachusetts just told us yesterday that this is going to be a "way of life". Trump needs to order to whole country open, period!
It seems to be a generational thing to this as well. I had forgotten how much my boomer parents worship doctors. They think they are demi-gods and to question is them is heresy.
I'm just gonna float this one out here, but what if the reason Trump isn't demanding states get back to work is because the people getting pissed off enough to actually do something (re-open their businesses, resist the stay-at-home orders, protest, etc) is a pivotal part of the plan to drain the swamp?
He's clearly told people in the worst states to "liberate" their states. How much more clear does he need to be?
I've been thinking the same thing. If he tries to force anything, it sets a bad example for future presidents to try to impose their will over the states. We've seen this with abortion and with gay marriage (even though both were done through the courts) and it's not right. It would be the door to someone after GEOTUS to mandate "gun control" nationwide, as Bloomberg would have done.
Additionally, if GEOTUS tries anything with the states it will be met with lawsuits that will only serve to longer extend whatever tyranny he was trying to end.
He can shut off all federal assistance to such states, which is the tact he should take. They can't fight it and it will force their hands. The one downside is it's not a great move politically because the media will blame him and not the tyrant he's trying to rein in.
The most disgusting thing about this is that I've seen campaign donations have been very strong. So everyone suffers while politicians still fill their coffers. Probably the reason they insisted that EVERYONE gets that influx of stimulus money. Even people who didn't need it. More money laundering.
One small glimmer of hope is that I noticed in my area, the second they announced the re-opening "plan", people flooded out of their homes to whatever stores they could. The streets and parking lots were a lot more crowded. Sure, you'll have the loud-mouth Karens still crowing about all the catch-phrases and wearing masks, but I think a lot of people translated "we're going to start opening" as "we're open." If that's true, it's possible other businesses will follow suit and say, "screw the timetable, I want to open now."
I'm really hoping this is a case where they knocked over the first domino and the rest started falling faster than they wanted.
I do wonder about that. Here in Florida, retail stores and restaurants are supposed to operate at 25% capacity. I wonder how many of them are going to enforce/follow that, or just say "fuck that if we're open we're open".
Always keep in mind - everyone has rights. Those rights are given by God. The only difference between the US and Canada is that our national document recognizes those rights, but those rights are still yours, too, nonetheless.
I legit haven't felt this much sorrow for my country ever. There's no way this shit can stand.

The phase approach is worse than the "2 week" shutdown.
We're never getting out of this tyranny with this inherently flawed system.
mate, you're full of shit.
I love your name btw

They're the government, and they're here to help!

He needs to be explicit if he wants to get through to society.
If it goes on beyond July (at the latest) it won't matter. America will go broke and the people out of work will be broke.
The complete collapse of the economy.

These days, “liberty or death” is just an antiquated phrase that most people don’t actually believe in.
We will not standard for it and shoot those fuckers right between their eyes
