I just pulled out my Colecovision the other day, trying to figure out how to hook it up to any of my TVs. I have an old TV laying around somewhere that still works, so I'll have to try that.
Vectrex though...now we're talking. I could go for some Star Castle right about now. And no worries about finding a TV to hook it up to.
Not true at all; something like BOTW is beautiful art and a fantastic experience. I played that game through and haven’t played anything in many months.
I agree that playing games consistently is a complete waste of time but occasionally indulging in the experience of something like BOTW, say once a year play 1 game that’s fantastic, is worth it IMO.
It did happen 11 years ago and it was called H1N1. Difference is the media had to protect an incompetent president who didn't know what to do and was running the economy into the ground. They didn't need to shut down the country for political reasons (like an election) and they knew it would turn Obama's recession into a full out disaster. Not to mention he had sown so much hatred and discord in the country with all of his divisiveness, it's likely the violence would have broken out very quickly. But this time his political cronies would have been the targets instead of people turning on each other while the politicians sat back and laughed about it.
So, they basically ignored what's turning out be a worse outbreak than WuFlu, particularly in terms of the demographics that were most affected. Oh, but they installed hand sanitizer stations in Disneyworld. So, I guess they did do something.
If this happened 11 years ago (which it did) the country would be open already. If it every closed for much.

BOTW is such an amazing experience, especially if you grew up playing Zelda.
