I feel bad for the rental property owners that put all the investment into setting up houses for people, and while doing their best to be accommodating, still have to deal with property tax, on top of maintenance costs and any utilities they cover for the renters. What are renters going to do when suddenly the company they rent from has to sell or get absorbed by a bigger company that might be aiming to monopolize rental properties in an area?

Do all apartments become abandoned residencies? Do renters suddenly get hit with a lot more responsibility in order to stay where they are? Or do we just turn every apartment complex into the Projects where the government supports the rental check, but doesn't do shit to actually keep the property good?
