I’d be fine introducing that as a tax. I’ve noticed that people who want more direct and indirect taxes are never asking for taxes on themselves.
Virtually all causes people want to support with more taxes can be supported without taxes. Just setup a charity. In the Bay Area we actually had ‘free’ healthcare already for people we decided couldn’t afford it in some areas as provided by charities. Once Barrycare came, those plans were dissolved. What they were replaced with are a joke.
Just start a charity. The money’s all going to be embezzled anyway.
Using Planned Parenthood as an example, the Bay was worried it’d lose funding once Trump got elected. Massive groups formed to lobby for it and support it. Lots of money spent and collected. What was the point? Just give Planned Parenthood money if you’re worried it’ll run out of money. What’s that? You want other people to pay for it? Other people that oppose it on moral and religious grounds? Yeah that’s what I thought. If you don’t care about something enough to pay for it, you do not care about it, or you’re an idiot.
We don’t need the government involved like some kind of god any time somebody has an idea.
