Not me, but most white people are absolutely terrified of being called racists. They were raised to believe that being a racist is the worst thing that anybody can be. Even worse than being murderers and rapists, and maybe even pedophiles.
Racism is real but it's hardly the worst thing in the world. And the real problem is that people would rather err on the side of caution than risk being labeled as racists no matter how ridiculous the accusations.
