I had a long term gf who lost her virginity to rape. One of the biggest things I learned from her was that the trauma caused by rape makes the victim act in ways that you would least expect. It doesn’t surprise me that Tara still looked up to him after this. It’s actually one of the big reasons why I find her story so credible.
