Well put.

In the Bay Area, people are still blaming everything you just said on capitalism though. I even hear people talk about it out in public. They act like it’s ‘old news’ or settled science that capitalism gives way to communism or that capitalism ‘failed’ because not everyone’s a CEO and most other countries still suck which is somehow our fault. I’ve heard people literally say things likes “if we had socialism, nobody would be unemployed right now,” or “if we had socialized healthcare, everybody would have access to treatment and testing.” How? Through magic?

Let’s just say Bernie got elected and went full Marx on everything. Government dictated all things. Why not. If this happened for real and not just because media hysteria, there would be no incentive for anybody to do anything but panic and steal. Everything would be determined from ‘on high’, by agencies like the WHO and their representatives, who thus far got everything horribly wrong and mismanaged every last bit of it. Now they’d simply be mismanaging everything in sight. People would still not be paid if they were told not to go to work because they’d generate no revenue to cover them. If the government made up fake money to give them then the economy would tank because the dollar would become worthless like so many other currencies. There’d be no massive reserve of wealth to handle a crisis because there’d be no incentive to try hard in almost anything to generate that wealth. Why bother trying hard and putting in long hours if you’re capped at how much you can make anyway? Or if the government decided you couldn’t sell things for more?

There are no shortage of communist nations out there, big and small. They can’t even handle bad weather. China handled this so poorly that they’re welding people’s doors shut to keep them inside and dragging children away from their families if they test positive. They’re routinely known for flat out killing people if it made reasonable sense to those in charge ‘for the greater good’.

Is that what people are hoping for? That we turn into other communist nations? There are exactly zero communist nations anyone’s clamoring to get into, even on a good day. Nobody kills each other to get into communist countries, though there are plenty of people killing each other and risking their lives to get out of those countries.

How many times does communism have to fail before people reconsider it? Capitalism did so well it took a global conspiracy to even hobble it temporarily.

"No, no, no... those people did it wrong. We won't make mistakes, we know how to do it right. You have to trust us!" - said every leftist, ever.

Was it worth it to them? Absolutely yes. Cloward-Piven. The breakdown is entirely intentional. Their stated plan is to overstress and corrode the load bearing structures of civilization so they can rebuild society in a Marxist image from the rubble. They aren't even secret about it, they've openly told us that's their plan since the 60s.

But...but...that's a CONSPIRACY THEORY. Like the Kalergi plan and Agenda 21. Just written, actionable plans being used by large governments and NGOs to consolidate power . Total theory. Why would politicians and giant transnational corporations want a central government that's unelected and unaccountable to a gray, low iq race of consumer debt slaves?

Geez.

Gonna just say this, the Democrat lead governors were already having shitty economic recovery.

They did everything before to stifle the Trump recovery. Case in point, CA's economic recovery was artificial in nature. It was pumped up mainly by HB1 Visa workers who were counted as citizens by Silicon Valley.

The reality is, the recovery in CA has been lagging far behind the national average and comparatively behind Texas. Most CA residents have 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. Since how everything is counted none of them equate to full time.

If anything there's a lot of issues we're seeing from certain sectors of our country. Mainly elderly care has been exposed as complete shit. Take away Covid, and we would never know how bad our elderly are being taken care of. Sick workers taking care of people....getting our grandparents sick....just so they can make time. That's complete BS and the elderly care companies need to be held accountable and have stronger safeguards. Families pay money for these places to take care of their elderly love ones . Only for the companies to push forward, that some caregiver needs to clock in, even if they are sick as a dog because if they dont, they get fired.

My mother-in-law suffered dementia toward the end. Her husband heroically took care of her at home until he passed away from a sudden heart attack. None of us could possibly care for her, and he should have had professional help much earlier. It wasn't possible for her to be in her home anymore, and none of us could do it either.

So we found a memory care senior facility of good reputation. These places probably do their best, but they are dealing with a tough situation. Adults with memory and cognition issues are difficult to care for, and would try the patience of a saint. But they're pros, right? We can't be there 24/7, we don't know what's going on when no one is there. We were so fearful of what was happening there, but didn't have many options.

She passed away about 8 weeks later, after pretty much forgetting how to swallow. She couldn't self-feed, or care for herself at all. The only incentive these places even have to keep patients alive is for an ongoing income stream (which is huge, they're like $7000/mo and up per resident).

I make no accusations, some of the workers were really nice (at least when we were there). But we have no idea what really happens at other times. The residents can't tell you, apart from visible injuries (always explainable as "she fell", or whatever). It's a scary situation.

Elder care is a problem, and hugely difficult for those who need complete professional care.

PolarBears4Trump2020 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think the elderly care business is in great jeopardy, many will rather remain in their residences. And states are ill-prepared to pick up the problem and fix it

5
MAGA_MEXICAN_CHILI 5 points ago +5 / -0

Let's not split hair. The Elderly Care business has been in terrible shape leading up to this. The Covid only exposed how bad it was. We got glimpses (from small news stories) but now we can see exactly how bad the quality of care for what we pay is just..bad.

We need an overhaul and for the better.

American families need to take care of their elders just lile in the old times. Family units are key to a strong society.

I still want answers on how hundreds of thousands of animals are being burned by fires with currently unknown origins.

7
Ricky_CIA 7 points ago +8 / -1

Bless your heart. That's called "insurance fraud" and it's being done mostly by people backed into a corner who feel like they have no other option because half the entire fucking nation apparently lost its mind and decided to cower in fear like children.

4

Funny you say this as ive seen an odd number of burned businesses in the touristy areas where i live. I thought it might be something like that

Some of us already went to jail. Where this going jail won't be much of a concern.

No worries, since they are letting everyone out of jail anyway.

these tyrants are going to start having to ask themselves some very uneasy questions.

questions i've come to terms with a long time ago, because i've seen their paths, even before they did. and i love this country.

how willing are you to die for what you believe in?

i'm ready to go, right here, right now.

had to explain this exact thing on reddit, they have infested every sub with their bullshit

had to also explain that Ben from Parks and Rec was a kid mayor that wasted tax payer money and bankrupted the city and then became an accountant and slashed city budgets to save them from that same fate and that this is actually the republican point of view, not the democrat point of view

It's how they love Harry Potter but forget that even the kids are armed and that's actually how they stop the maniac from taking over

4
Tellsyouhow 4 points ago +4 / -0

Love the Harry Potter reference. I know a few people I can use that one on.

2
10MeV 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's brilliant, never thought of Harry Potter that way! Voldemort was like the ultimate tyrannical governor, and the kids actually killed him. Wow....

4
impera 4 points ago +4 / -0

So this is a country-wide shit test of sorts it seems.. seeing just how much crime leftist governors can get away with so they can fine-tune their future criminal plans to slide under the radar of public outcry. The boiling-the-frog strategy.

Because why not, its the modus operandi of every crime group thats ever existed.. rattling doors and knocking on the front door pretending to be lost before a brick goes through the window when they are fairly sure no-one is home so they can get to looting.

And hopefully meeting their maker shortly thereafter.

All i have to say is there needs to be a bloodbath in this years election to governors. Republican and democrat both need to be voted out if you refuse to open up the economy.
