Required Face Mask usage? 6 ft Distancing? Quarantine if you are exposed? Automated Contact Tracing? GPS Tracking?

What do you deem acceptable for your place of work? What is not acceptable?

For me:

Acceptable: Face Mask, Distancing, On-site Testing

Not Acceptable: GPS Tracking / Tracing, Enhanced Camera Tracking, Handing Over Location History.

How about you?

Kansas city is making business keep track of all customers and workers who are in their businesses longer than ten minutes, with the name, address, and contact info, to be sent to the govt, but the govt swears it's not because they "want to do Big Brother stuff"

Yeah, KC is messed up.

I know some people near there. There are a few ways around that.

If I get it, I’ll self-quarantine. And I’ll maintain distance out of respect for others. Everything else can fuck straight off.

This man is the real MVP.

We end up just leaving our worksite (work remotely if possible, or just work in a different building for a week) when some guys get sick, since they won't take sick days.

No on site testing....that's your DNA.

No face mask....

frankly all of those things are overbearing unnecessary bullshit.

The onsite testing does not test DNA

Is it a swab? If it is, then it collects DNA. Regardless though, no one SHOULD BE accepting ANY restrictions for a virus that is proving to be more or less the flu.

yep. that's how 23 & me works. you take a swab of the inside of your cheek or something and send it in. DNA doesnt just come from a blood test. any cells are usable.

It is a serological blood test, no swab for the rapid tests from what I understand from a lay perspective

If they get your sample, they get your DNA....

True in theory, but the Abb ott tests are on site and under normal protocols the biological blood samples do not leave there, which would be required to sequence your info.

If you were born in a hospital, they prick your heel and save your blood anyways. "He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel"

Still don’t trust them. If they destroyed my sample in front of me after testing, then I’d be more agreeable-but how many times have we heard “we’d never do that” and then some years later, “they did that.”

no mandatory facemasks. optional only. no testing unless someone has a "suspected case" (and no that doesnt mean they coughed a few times or sneezed, could easily be allergies.) No contact tracing forcing other people to quarantine for 2 weeks just because they were within 6ft of you for 5 mins once, no form of camera, GPS or cell phone tracking, distancing should be on you. if you dont want to, dont.
Frankly everything should be 100% voluntary, never "law", "order" or "mandate" by either your employer or authorities

We mandate seatbelts when driving on public roads, why not face masks when operating in public spaces?

The purpose for seatbelts is to keep people from becoming human missiles and injuring others outside their vehicle when they crash.

Similarly they want to require face masks to prevent asymptomatic people from spreading the disease.

That's what I understand.

I have neighbors who don't want the place to open up since they can party more.

I'm glad I have a job, but I sure wish I could get back to work. Most of my work is on-site and this remote working stuff is getting ridiculous.

I agree, the time to open the country was weeks ago, all this delay and people will start making decisions based on survival and not public health.

Thankfully I still have a job and am trying to support local businesses, but some can't find a way to operate (barber shop doesn't know what to do). TBH, I'd gladly pay upfront for future services to an extent, even if the place risks closure.

I'm willing to wear a mask - midnight blue, giant gold Star of David. Or Slick Willy. I'll let them choose.

I'm willing to avoid the purplehairs, so they'll never see the fistbumps.

They're welcome to study the trace of the phone taped to the raccoon. They're welcome to the coon's DNA.

I'll give a list of "People I've been in contact with", so long as they aren't specific enough to eliminate the fact I'm putting down people I've emailed ... like the Whitehouse, the Department of Justice, the FBI, the Marshal service (with a note 'because the FBI is sucking lately').

Bring him with you?

Call him a covid-sniffing service animal.

Problem solved.
