Use buttermilk powder instead of milk powder, and buttermilk in place water also good quality yeast or duck duck go a homemade starter recipe, starter lives forever I've been regenerating the same batch for years. Homestead 101 bro. Always use a good salted butter like Kerry gold and Himalayan salt with organic cane or turbino sugar

He is making homemade biscuit mix. It's what people do when they cannot master the real deal. They "make it better"

I thought he's making angel biscuits. With a yeast rise, thats an angel biscuit. Unless he's not using any Bpowder at all in which case, can it even really be called a "biscuit"?

I want to make a batch later, but I can't as I have no himalayan salt, kek.

Try again fag, although from someone who posts pictures of biscuits and gravy with his PP shooter for good boy points your opinion is really moot

I think I touched a nerve. It's at this point that you realize that you think you are an expert on rural and or southern life because you spent some time reading articles and forums while watching videos on YouTube about how to urban homestead.... Or even how to do it on a small patch of land. Guess what fuck stick. Your 10 years "in the south" doesn't teach you fuck about fuck.

I grew up milking cows before school, eating canned veggies that we grew, eggs we collected and bailing the alfalfa we grew and subsequently cut.

Take your hipster shit to the city where it belongs. Your single fucking rooster is causing a ruckus and the neighbors Chihuahua is gonna come kill his noisy ass.

Hmm I don’t use yeast for my biscuits. I’m sure they’d be nice and fluffy with it. I got really into making sourdough bread at one point and it’s so easy to fuck up. Either you kill your starter, or you over or under knead. But when it comes out right, it’s godly.

He is a Yankee. Disregard any biscuit advice he gives.

I did my fist batch of Angel Biscuits a few weeks ago (half baking powder rise, half yeast rise), and I have to say they were not bad. Sometimes I use buttermilk, and sometimes I do cream biscuits or clabbered cream biscuits, those are really good too.

My mom used to make her angel biscuits on special occasions and they were fantastic. Haven’t had them for a few years now. May need to go whip up a batch with some gravy this morning. You guys are making me drool.
