I don't buy it. Not with the way the little dictator has been talking...
Fuhrer Wilhelm has the cops out everywhere cracking down. He would DEFINITELY send them to bust heads here...unless the NYPD remembered their little "turn their backs on the Mayor" stunt a while back and realize they're supposed to hate and defy him, of course. If they don't flat out refuse to enforce his edicts on social distancing and gatherings, then they are just flip-floppers.
If the authorities aren't already fully aware, all it would take is a tip from a "concerned Karen" and a SWAT team would probably be there surrounding the place
Hey friend.... keep in mind the cops, many of them, are following very few of bills directives. Every since he declare a war in cops, they are only arresting the worst of the worst. The rest, ‘who wants to be bothered’? Why risk your life or your pension over something filmed out of context and played against you?
