Before Vanity Fair hated Donald J. Trump, they loved him. They have a great article about Trump buying Mar-a-Lago. He got it for a song after he told the Post sisters that he bought the rights to buy the beach in front and was planning on building a house that would block the view.
The link to this story was shadowbanned on Speddit. They even shadowbanned the archive links to it. I posted it all the time and never got more than a few upvotes.
Hey, thanks very much for this link, can’t wait to read it shortly. That’s an interesting detail that wasn’t mentioned so far in the book. Just mentioned vague details and that the Post heiress has donated the property to the gov for a Presidential retreat after her death, the govt didn’t want it and gave (or sold idk) back to the Post Foundation, so I can’t wait to read more about it. Didn’t he run across a prior airspace/view situation that caused litigation with Tiffany’s to build Trump tower? At least that’s what I’ve always heard for years. Also, appreciate the jive lingo, reminds me of an example sentence on Urban Dictionary: “There’s a cat on 55th selling elbows for a song.”
