Just Karen out yelling at people is all

12
Work2gethrBiglyOrDie 12 points ago +12 / -0

Insert meme of a Karen yelling into a MSM megaphone while dumb looking people say "Sounds like everyone wants to stay locked down."

They're on places like Nextdoor. But they're starting to get a lot of pushback by the rest of us.

The elderly, in my experience, did not get to be the age they are by worrying over stupid shit. I know maybe 2 dozen oldsters r n, and none of them gave a rats ass about the freaking flu. Three of them were contemplating cruise tickets as soon as this whole thing started. It had me laughing at them all, I thought "Telling old people to stay indoors is like trying to corral cats."

But who I know who is absolutely terrified? Female democrat 30-60 y.o.'s. That's it. That's who is petrified were all gonna die.

The_Bloofy_Bullshark 7 points ago +7 / -0

The weekend my state went into a lockdown a whole group of 70+ yr olds were chilling out in the park in our neighborhood shooting the shit in their lawn chairs they brought out and enjoying the beautiful weather. Nobody dared tell them to go inside. The vitriol spouted at the younger generations though is insane. Like gramps can enjoy it outside but if I go out and someone’s grandma magically dies, I am responsible.

My grandmother is about the same age and she has a lung condition. She thinks the whole thing is stupid as shit.

An elderly man at my church is pretty mentally distraught as church was one of the few things that kept him going.

I see people wearing masks while jogging alone in the woods, scared to walk past me and jumping out of the way when I pass them. I see hordes of sheep who believe whatever the tv tells them. There's no question the media has scared them to the point they don't want to leave the house and go back to work.

unless the stay at home actions will create permanent changes in safety, and they dont seem to claim it will now, then at some point everyone has to put on their bravery hat and go out into the woods where beasties may dwell.

thats what settled america. of course that original gene poole is very diluted now. america is now full of the genes of people who sought safety or hand outs rather than adventure and freedom. and genes matter.

but at some point in a battle the troops need to know they are going to have to advance on the enemy even though there are machine guns pointing at them.

There are a lot of jokes about lying with statistics because it's just that easy .

It doesn't take any enormous conspiracy. "Garbage in" - you can bake your results in very easy.

Imagine "I want to poll a group of numbers with the question: 'Are you even or odd?' " You're thinking, "Well, duh, you get 50-50". But I hand out the list (1,2,3), or I hand out the list (0,1,2) to the people running the poll. The same thing can be done with 1,000 phone numbers any which way you like.

None of the individual people running their phonebooks are analyzing the lists of numbers they're handed, and they usually "double blind" so they aren't even supposed to be able to look up "Oh, I'm calling a Republican." or whatever ahead of time. The software just hands out the numbers.

The people dinking with the poll (which only needs to be one person with keys to the database), are still able to get useful information out of the garbage polls. They know precisely how hard they were leaning on the polls, but the 'switchers', the hang-ups, all the little unexpected changes show them what the switch was in this period. (And then they can bake that extra shift into the next if they like).

This also highlights how odd the reporting on polls is sometimes. "Biden is up by 20!" (Said by very nervous-looking person).

eyeball 6 points ago +6 / -0

But they asked all their libtard friends, so it must be true.

5
HiddenDekuScrub 5 points ago +5 / -0

Unfortunately they are out there. Working for a phone company I've seen all from the smartest, to the saddest, to the most desperate, to the biggest idiots out there. Don't get me started on some of my co-workers. But yeah, I see all kinds, and unfortunately some people really do want to be locked away.

Just bringing the darn thing up gets you a lot of detail on how a person thinks. I try to lightly debate with some of them, since a lot of people don't consider the topic "political". It's an easy way to dispense red pills. But some people either try to "sagely" talk over you and declare themselves king of the science or are genuinely oblivious that anyone would not want to be locked away. It's sad.

thisisatestof2 5 points ago +5 / -0

It was in the high 70s today and sunny. Parks full of people everywhere and only a handful with masks on.

3
usdodsgssog 3 points ago +3 / -0

Depends on where you live. I know plenty of people begging for longer shut downs because they're freaking out so hard over this. It's awful.

3
HughGRection 3 points ago +3 / -0

I know some real life liberals that do, yeah. They think Fauci hung the moon.

3
HiImJBags 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup. Stay at home moms where the father is in the military. Soi boys that live off their parents. And a couple of people who married Americans that aren’t willing to assimilate.

k614 3 points ago +3 / -0

They ran a poll, where the question was probably: "Studies have shown that shutdowns save thousands, if not, millions of lives, do you think we should continue the shutdown?" And they probably sampled +10 democrats.

3
waswas 3 points ago +4 / -1

i beleived the numbers and was for the first shurdown. but after 30 days i am not sure what the medical purpose is even if the numbers werent lies

yes if the virus died in everyone after 14 days then it made sense to keep people apart for 14 days..maybe even 30 if the shutdown was imperfect.

but if that didnt work then there is little medical reason to continue.

if kids are immune then they should send them all to spring break and get them all antibodies to trigger herd immunity in one fell swoop.

time to reopen a few places and see what happens in two weeks.

a huge number of people are going to stay home anyway.

people had stopped going out long before they were forced to stay home. people arent going to jump on planes or crusie ships or go to packed restaurants like they did before.

it may have all neen fake but, like 9/11 getting people to accept airport shakedowns, i think this has permanently changed people.

until we see people refusing airport shakedowns i really dont expect to see people resist this either.

and do you see people standing up to airport shakedowns?

i still wear a mask because in my area although infections are low they are actually higher now than they were 4 weeks ago. and frankly i dont give a flying fuck if i look funny.

but we need some more trustworthy numbers.

and i sure would rather wear a mask than get a vaccine from bill gates which where this is all going.

bit i am not sure any of it is necessary.

i know a few people working in hospitals and none of them saw any covid deaths.

They mean everyone on Twitter, and those who take the opposite position of anything Trump is for.

Well there are a lot of idiots on Reddit. Of course, as the recent Bernie Primary Fiasco revealed, those people don't actually count in real life.

2

Yes. I know several well to do Karens. They are cool with a permanent shutdown. Also like the bonus of defeating Trump easily..

This plan is a win/win for leftists. The constitution holds no real power - its power only comes from men willing to defend it with guns. This has been made clear..

1
Dudemanfoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been asking almost everybody... about 1/3 want to keep it shutdown... mostly people that are min wage to a little above... I would say democrats everyone...

But a lot of democrats are even tired of this... even the ones who still believe the virus is worse than the flu are done with the shutdown.

I was wondering the EXACT same thing. All my family members and friends think this is just ridiculous, where are all these people begging for the government to lock them down and control them more? I just don’t see it.

1

Some people are really scared, but they were likely already living with all manner of private fears before this.

Many more cars on the road in my town today.

1
Spez_Banned_My_Cat 1 point ago +1 / -0

I sadly know plenty of people who think that. They're abiding by ever word that comes out of Democratic official's mouths as gospel. Anything that isn't official word is conspiracy theory.

Every single time I've explained my reasoning behind questioning things I was met with "Where is your proof? That's ignorant" And yet what I said has been proven right time after time. But that's still not enough

1
DarkMemeDuck 1 point ago +3 / -2

A good number of my co-workers have said they want to keep things closed longer because they are scared of a second wave. They are also some of the farthest left people I've ever met.

1
Mexicola1976 1 point ago +4 / -3

There's going to be a 2nd wave. It's the nature of viruses.

3
DarkMemeDuck 3 points ago +5 / -2

Not sure why you are being downvoted. Whether the virus is a hoax or not, there will be one no matter what. And each time they shut down there will always be another wave. The only way we get though any of this is to just let it happen.

attn: IT pedes - we need to make our own story, we need to take control

Imagine a website that can somehow display X% of people (and of course it’ll be +70%) enroll in basically a DNR (do not resuscitate). Similar to when we sign up to be a organ donor on your license, this would be

  • I gladly will take the risk of going out in the world with no mitigation efforts and forego any medical attention should I contract COVID or any medical emergency

It would be a huge red pill. The DS used the internet to hypnotize us. We need to expose that only a very small (and loud) portion of the population is on board with their stupid plan
