These are some further changes from today.
Primarily, you can now enable the highly requested (until coronavirus) 'work mode' theme. This is in the settings menu under the 'Community Styling' toggle, and it respects your color scheme setting (dark and light mode).
While in this mode, you can currently see a downvote button for posts - it isn't functional, which is in line with the absense of a downvote button on the regular theme. This mode is not finalized.
We've also added a light bulb icon in the top right corner, which allows guests to toggle dark mode on and off. This icon is not available for logged in users.
The 'context' button on comments has been removed when within a post, but is still present in the inbox and profile. We've added a 'parent' button for all child comments within posts, which will jump you to the parent comment (the closest parent, not the top level parent)
Finally, you are now able to rename save folders via the /saved page, by clicking the pen symbol and entering the new name. Note, folder names are alphanumeric + spaces only.
How do we reach out to the Trump campaign and get them to pay you, Doggo? You freaking rule
Mods = Gods. We can't thank them enough.
It is said that, "The Left ruins everything they touch."
Why did scores get truncated?
Can we make it a setting? For the majority of us folk with less than 1000 points per day it is fairly useless.
I been here since basically the beginning and haven't even cracked 10k total.
Before, could see interaction realtime. Now it is just a fairly useless number taking up space on my screen.
Plz2mkopt
It was already addressed in the previous update. I also made a comment about it, suggesting to truncate the name instead of the scores. It was due to layout issues on mobile phones for users with very long names.
That said I hope that, even though it's a relatively minor issue, has a high priority.
I agree. I hate the "minimalist" truncation of numbers (which by the way, was a trend started by Google). I'd prefer to just see the number in full, no matter how long it is.
In the work mode theme, clicking/tapping the header (“The_Donald”) doesn’t take you back to the homepage like it does in the regular theme.
True, will fix in one of the next updates.
Can you add the lightbulb for signed in users too? It would be nice to be able to switch from light to dark on the fly.
Maybe, if people want it. I don't want to keep crowding the already crowded UI.
It would be nice, but I think your impression is right. Especially on mobile (which is all I do), another button would not be enough value added to offset the clutter, imho.
I have the same issue with the "jump to next top level comment" button. No idea where to put it. The "return to top" button is in the only place it logically could be.
Thank you for this "work mode" theme! I've been unable to read T_D due to the lack of this.
I’m not fully understanding what you meant by your work mode theme. It may be obvious once I see it but, and it may be a bug or a 1d10t error, I do not see a work mode theme as an option under the community stylings toggle.
Ps you guys rock and this site is getting so much cleaner!
"Community Styling" disabled is effectively "work mode".
Hmm... it needs a better description. Maybe: Title: "Style" | its options: "Default"/"Original" and "Work Place."
Otherwise it won't convey the information to the user what it even is. On/Off does not reveal even a hint. So most people won't know what it does and that it even exists. And the least will bother to test it.
And I guess for people working in offices it's preferable to have decent looking websites with no animations and noticeable imagery, so that it's not too apparent that someone is... busy with something more... important. So it's a great idea, regardless of anything. If I could, I'd check the same option for sites like 9gag too (disable animations & sound, make the layout clean and white, etc). But after many years they still haven't come up with your idea.
Awesome improvements every day. You guys are doing an amazing job
Greetings. This site got a shout-out on the JRE with Tim P. And well, here I am. :} Thank you for establishing this site. See you in the comments...
Is there a way to get back to the front page without hitting the back button when looking at someone's profile or when searching?
Click the picture of President Trump on the top of the page. That brings you to the homepage.
thank you
Best devs, Best mods!
SAVE ME
You must sleep about as much as our president u/Doggos!
Perhaps flairs could have their own individual icon. That's one of the things I enjoyed from Something Awful was how they did that pretty well. Gave a way to separate flairs within a forum.
https://old.reddit.com/r/TheNewRight/
They also did it pretty well, but then again, they also designed this subreddit too I believe, forgot their name. Looks like TNR changed hands.
Awesome work as always!
Thanks for Work Theme! (It is a shame we have to hide... Also may coincidentally save a tiny bit of bandwidth?)
The "parent" button is an excellent and needed addition. Thank you for your work. One thing I have just started noticing is the save feature is no longer working. When I select the "+" button on the folder I want, it never gets added. It just sits there spinning.
EDIT: Specifically, saving comments no longer works. Only posts.
Strange. Will fix in next update.
Update: fixed now instead
Excellent work sir.
By the way, is the code for thedonald.win open source? Or is there a place where you got it? I'm active in a few subreddits that we'd like to get away from reddit due to increasing censorship..
Not currently open source, but we're willing to work with any subreddits who are looking to leave Reddit.
If you're a mod of any subreddits, feel free to PM me.
I would like to PM you. Is there a way?

Are you looking for non-political subreddits? There are at least three /r/physical_removal moderators posting here, lol, though I'm sure you don't want that content to be predominant.
I knew tons of people back when I was using reddit, but that was mostly the troll and right-wing crowd. So I can gather up a bunch of rightists but they're going to come here anyways.
What topics of subreddits are you looking for?
We didn't start the circlejerk or the echo chamber, they did. So it's on them.
So it sounds pretty nice. It's time to physically remove leftists from our lives.
Open to anything legal. Casual non-political stuff is preferred.
Coincidentally, that's how I like my women as well.
Might start with a few tech subdonalds, the right-wing tech crowd is competent. Gaming would also be good, "we" have owned the gaming crowd since the beginning. Guns. Weed might be good too tbh, but then again I'm a little high.
My ideal is for reddit to become what usenet is but with a greater emphasis on its remaining userbase being /r/abdl reputational tier. I'd want SJWs to be non-participants as well outside of their owned safe spaces. With that one wants a healthy seed crowd, which we have here but of course one wants to expand. Do you have a name for a different site already chosen, or did you plan on using thedonald.win for non-political forums? That would be a mistake IMO. I'm getting the munchies cutting this short.
Is a "public" front-end to create and browse wins without admin intervention on the works/plans?
Eventually.
I saved a comment recently, thought it worked fine.... ?
I love what you all are doing with TD.win; thank you for all your hard work! Would it be possible to incorporate a “retry thumb” link for posts that don’t automatically load one, just like the one at the chicom-owned site?
Will we be getting an “April stats” post for the site like we did last month for “March stats”?
Similarweb no longer shows the stats for this site...
Status on user counter?
Doggos i think you and your team are some of the greatest patriots of our time. Words can't express my gratitude for you, helping to save my grandchildrens' future!
Tdwin keeps getting more and more polished, that's beautiful to watch! Also I know the development is only half the battle, and protecting it is the other half. Much appreciation!!!
Wow 4 hours from when I suggested the 'parent comment' feature, and it's already implemented.
You mods are awesome.
One small tweak: After I click the parent button, and then click back, it doesn't return to the previous child comment I was at (instead it goes back to the previous page). In other words, once I see the context of the parent comment, it would be nice to get back to the child comment immediately using the browser's back button (like reddit did). Instead I have to scroll down (sometimes for a while) to find where I was previously at.
Is this change gluten-free?
Thanks for everything Mods. You rock.
That lightbulb feature is SICK!!! This is better functionality than any other site ive been to. LOVE IT!
Looks good but I personally have no shame I don’t care if people see me support the president so.....
