The "land" here is The Narrows on Red Lake. It's land being depicted that is actually part of a reservation and is actually the ancestral land of the Ojibwe. The American Indian native is named "Mia" and she was created by an Ojibwe artist. Also, Land O Lakes is really a translation of the Ojibwe "Land of Many Waters". It's an Algonquin language group. The word Minnesota means "Land of Sky Blue Waters". The same Ojbwe artist created the Hamm's Beer logo (it used to be very popular in Minnesota) with the slogan "Land of Sky Blue Waters" Both Hamm's and Land of Lakes have a had a long tradition in the past of hiring American Indians and honoring the Native roots of red Minnesota.

As a card carrying Ojibwe, I am really, really disappoint to see Mia being disappeared because some SJW activists have no respect for tradition and culture and would rather disappear us than engage with us on our terms.

That is exactly how I see all this- an intentional disappearance. Leftists don't want anyone to take pride in their culture. They want us to worship the government and be proud only of our willingness to be lead. They started with calling white people racist then start moving to other cultures and dismantling them to protect anything not white from racism. Then what are we left with? A bunch of finger pointers and tattle tales.

Leftists cannot build; they only destroy.

From the Land of Sky Blue Waters,

From the land of pines, lofty balsams,

Comes the beer refreshing,

Hamm's the beer refreshing.

I remember those old Hamm's commercials.

I remember the bear and the tune but had no idea what lofty balsams were so I think I used different words.

Thank you very much for that information. I had no idea. It's too bad you can't educate whatever corporation owns Land O' Lakes butter.

Hamm's used to be very popular in the 60's and 70's. My father had a second job at a liquor store, and I remember the Hamm's bear very well.
