Here's what I wrote to them:

[email protected]

Dear Land of Lakes,

I -- and my family -- have always chosen Land of Lakes over any and all competitors.

But in hearing your reasons for removing Mia from your packaging, I -- and my family -- will now go out of our way to make sure we never use your products again.

Evil people see evil wherever they look. There was nothing sexist or racist about Mia whatsoever -- and yet you gave in to these societal fascists.

I will tell you this: your sales MAY temporarily increase. I, for one, made a point to buy one last carton in order to frame and preserve the image of Mia.

However, that was the last nickel you will see from us.

Moreover, trust in this: this is a view we will share over many campfires to come.

You have no backbone.

You did not push back.

You did not defend this proud image of a lovely Native American women.

You are weak.

Farewell...

HERE'S THEIR WEAK REPLY:

Hello XXXXX,

Thank you for your email regarding our new packaging. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment.

As Land O'Lakes looks toward the 100th anniversary of our cooperative in 2021, we’re seeking new ways to tell our farmer-owned story to consumers. We’re doing this by rolling out new packaging for our products, which began in 2019. The new packaging features words like “Farmer-owned” and “Since 1921” above vibrant images of land and lakes.

We appreciate your comments and will share them with our product team. To learn more about this change, visit: https://www.landolakesinc.com/Press/News/new-butter-and-dairy-packaging

We hope this helps you understand our goal in making this change. Please let us know if we can be of assistance in the future.

Sincerely,

Land O'Lakes Consumer Affairs

Bravo! It made me very sad to see one package left on the shelf with Mia's picture at the store this week. The others are now all without her, and it's disappointing and sad to see something so traditional and sweet removed.

They believe we're stupid enough to believe this is a packaging change...

It's a BRANDING change: like Disney giving up Mickey; McDonald's giving up Ronald; Progressive dumping Flo.

And it's been done in the name of virtue signaling.

The great irony: it was painted by a native American.
