I have no trouble believing it at all. I follow a lot of Democrats on social media and they are fucking unhinged. One of them is estranged from his only son and grandson because his son is a Trump supporter. The guy publicly talks shit online about his kid and then laments not being able to see his grandson. It wouldn't surprise me if the son was the one who severed ties in this case, because his father is a raving lunatic who spends most of his day posting death wishes and advocating violence against Republicans.
