I don't think i've ever seen a conservative completely "disown" anyone just for being liberal. Meanwhile I could find 1000 different stories on reddit alone of liberals disowning their parents and other family members just because they display a few conservative values. It truly is sad.

I 'disowned' my liberal SJW sister. I was trying to stay close, especially when she divorced her husband taking their two girls. But she kept causing problems over my politics (which I generally avoided talking about) and it made me seriously rethink if I wanted her (lack of) morality guiding my children, and her wild, shitty kids playing with mine. Sad, but the future of my own kids has to come first.

Maybe her husband wasn’t that much of a dick after all.

I'm getting to the point where I want to disown everyone that pushed for gay marriage. Bastards have done so much damage to the culture, the country and freedom that it's despicable.

And has nothing to do with my respect for gay friends or other gay people who are capable of being decent. But the fascists who made this crap happen -- can't stand them.

Yes, I am sure Marxist have infiltrated the gay rights movement in order to use it to redefine marriage to the detriment of its real purpose (creating stable families with CHILDREN -- not getting a tax break because you shacked up with your sex partner). And have thus moved on to corrupting our children with "Drag queen story hour" and advertising "sex change" in order to sterilize the children when they're young, impulsive, and dealing with the confusion of puberty. All of this sexual chaos for the purpose of undermining families and creating more dependency on government.

Yes, I am against that.

Living your life? Go knock yourself out. But they had no right to redefine marriage, especially over the votes.

I would have been considered pretty pro-gay back in the 1990s. Now, because I will always believe marriage is between a man and a woman -- just like Barack Obama claimed to believe in 2008 -- I'm apparently a Nazi-like bigot, in spite of being a Jew who experienced some gender and sexual confusion myself in my younger years.

Sure, let's say it was Marxist who used the gay movement so spearhead these travesties. I'm against Marxism, and I'm glad you are too. And yeah, most of the gay movement were willing pawns. But they're still on the other side of the board.

Sorry but you have a very progressive/liberal world view.

Our founding documents start with the premise that we get rights from our Creator, and then governments are instituted to protect those rights (not invent them). It's called the natural law, and it's been part of Western jurisprudence for centuries.

The minute you allow the government to enshrine a right to something that God expressly forbade, you've pretty much adopted the central thrust of Marxism: the state above all else.
