I had the same. Starts as a blood clot in the leg (deep vein thrombosis or DVT), then gets pumped through the heart into the lung (pulmonary embolism or PE). Often kills quickly. In his case, probably in the ICU for a week, treat with blood thinners like coumadin for many months.
Given he's alive, chances are he'll be OK. Pray for him, it's a killer.

What you are saying is going to hurt you more than anyone else. Even if it is for an enemy we should pray for them. I don't understand why Bill would be your enemy. But for real enemies we should pray for them. The Bible says:
