WA state has something similar. You can't do it longer than 30 days unless the Legislature allows it which I don't believe it has. They took a local poll and nobody seems to give a shit with something like 80% of people saying they would be OK doing this crap for another year. Lefty hellhole this place has become.

I do find it funny that last November we voted down an initiative to extend emergency powers because they couldn't clearly define what constitutes an emergency. I'd be curious if other states tried to pass the same type of shit last year.
