It's been sobering the amount of LEO's failing to uphold their oath to the Constitution. "I'm only following orders" is not an excuse. Refuse to violate Americans civil rights.

Well BARR needs to hammer this message home

Sources familiar with his thinking say he might soon be considering writing a stern letter if governors go too far maybe soon.

There is also this other story which I saw after my comment above. I'm glad to see Barr is doing something at least.

We need to restore the rule of law to keep the peace.

Don't expect the majority of law enforcement to side with the population. They have a non transferable skill set and many just want to boss others around.

There is a good amount of truth to this, partially.

Its not about the power trip, its about the only transferable skill set for some.

I was in an infantry unit, 90%+ of guys that got out became cops or correctional officers. It almost all about just having a steady job and income from my anecdotal exp.

I remember reading a few years ago about a deputy who was fired. His next job was as a janitor. Lol.

I know one too. I worked with him in Las Vegas, he got on with LAPD about 5 years ago.

5
Mexicola1976 5 points ago +5 / -0

LAPD can't afford anymore lawsuits and bad press.

It's like any profession. There are a lot of agencies who are defying executive orders by politicians. But when the public sees other agencies doing the opposite, that gives them all a black eye and people remember the negatives and distrust of ALL LE follows. Enforcing Red Flag laws and now executive orders by local/state tyrants has completely destroyed public trust for LE. I think it's worse now for them than any other time because in the past, they usually carried the support of patriots and conservatives. That's gone now and it's now leftists and Karens who are their main supporters. That's not good for them and it's going to take a massive, nation-wide rejection by LE officers refusing to enforce unconstitutional orders to change the public's mind.

With 30 million people unemployed, how can we afford to pay all these government employees, police, and military? This right out of the Communist playbook. Venezuela had millions unemployed but they still paid the police, the military, and government loyalists.
