People who watched Scott Adams' periscope on masks and find reasonable the logic that the mask does prevent SOME, if not ALL, virus particles from being transmitted, so it reduces contagion to a degree (puts "friction" in the system, to use Adams' terminology); and prevents people from touching their face, which touching is said by doctors to be the best way to get virus particles up your nose and in your mouth.

There is a misconception in the public that if you come into contact with one virus particle, that's it, you've "got the virus." In reality the human immune system is such that most people carrying the virus are asymptomatic from start to finish. Meaning you can go around spreading the virus for days without even knowing you have it in you. So the mask is not complete idiocy to wear if you're asymptomatic; you're just reducing as much as possible the odds of your giving CV to someone else.
