Holy shit on top of that she throws "science and facts" back at them too.

South Dakota is on my shortlist for road trip tourism now. Would be cool to see Mount Rushmore anyway.

Mt Rushmore is fantastic as well though. The monument and museum really reignite that sense of civic nationalism that they can’t quite seem to kill off. Can’t tell you how many libtards told us not to bother, and instead to go see the Indian monument.

You mean Crazy Horse Monument. It will be incredible when it is completed though.

You all must visit Custer State Park and Deadwood as well.

It’s funny how people feel differently about monuments to the USA’s defeated internal enemies depending on whether they’re Indians or Confederates.

Yeah and then they built half of a monument on it. Funny because the libtards that recommended it were going on about how “small” Rushmore is. They hadn’t been to either one personally. I’m actually glad I heard Rushmore shat on for years before I went because it made it that much more awe inspiring to see what it really was.

11
cccpneveragain 11 points ago +11 / -0

Can’t tell you how many libtards told us not to bother

That's such a stupid attitude but doesn't really surprise me considering the audience. Even if you hated those people up there that's a monument known across the world and they will skip it because they hate the Orange Man and America.

What do they even do when they travel? I love war museums too but I'm sure they never, ever go there. I guess fill their time going to Starbucks in a different state and complain about everything?

When I went to SD I started in Bangor Maine. What you say is reminding me of that and how out in those rural areas there were American flags all over the place (Same with Vermont and NH). I was thinking, fuck liberals would have nightmares out here. In my experience when they vacation they lay out in the sun, drink a lot, go to coffee houses and talk really loud hoping someone will ask them where they are from so they can brag about it.

8
cccpneveragain 8 points ago +8 / -0

I can only imagine. I'm in Texas and grew up in the South. A few years ago there was a full size billboard in a small town in Arkansas I drove by "Hillary for Prison."

Even without the politics I've been all over lots of rural parts of the South in particular (and other places, including Maine last year actually). The libs would have a total breakdown in most of these places.

Oh yeah, not just Rushmore for sure. There's a lot around there even into Wyoming. Always been my goal to visit all 50 states, and I don't mean just stop at a gas station driving through. I'm at nearly half and not being a fan of the airline mask requirements this year is getting changed into driving trips up into the northern part of "flyover country"

5
Gingersmom2009 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes, you can drive right over into Wyoming and see Devil's Tower. (Close Encounters 😄)

4
Cyer6 4 points ago +4 / -0

I grew up in these areas and now live in Texas. It's just beautiful, open country and worth seeing all of it.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm 48 and actually started dong this a couple years ago in the thinking that at some point libs are going to make it painful to do that. Might even be impossible without a permit or some shit or lockdown or whatever. Figured I better do it now while we still can travel freely.

18
Daemoness 18 points ago +18 / -0

We vacationed there in 2009 ; as we were driving out on the way back we were already making plans for a return visit. Very lovely state.

6
stratocaster_patriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

I had been passig through and stopped at a tourist center about mid state and was like, "Shit girl, we are staying in this state a couple days." Didn't realize there was so much there. I hadn't done reserach on it because I was thinking of other places. I may go back at some point.

South Dakota is fuckin beautiful man. Pretty empty, but that’s the beautiful part. Highly recommend Rushmore and the Black Hill region was great. Tons of scenery, trails and parks. One of my favorite trips especially considering I wasn’t expecting it to be all that great/.

She and Jared changed their voter registration to Republican most recently so they can vote for President Trump this time around. They did not vote in 2016 and the reason they gave is I believe is the delay in their voter registration changing from D to R.

President Trump used to be a Democrat and his ability to expose all the RINOs I find very satisfying. Donald used the Republican Party platform to be elected but he is better than any Republican WHILE this governor is the best Republican Governor and yes, Governor we have in this entire country.

That doesn't make any sense at all. In the general election, it doesn't matter how you registered, you vote for whoever you want. The registration matters only for primaries.

VictoriousOnceMore88 1 point ago +3 / -2

Fellow Pede, I was not lying but here is an article that is seen on several others; I tried to find a source that is not the Fake News army like CNN and MSNBC:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/ivanka-trump-and-jared-kushner-are-finally-registered-republicans-2020-3%3famp

Red the article and you will see that what I stated regarding 2016 is true! :-)

I helped a friend move his daughter to a SD university a few years back. Looking over the college, I learned that the kids would wear MAGA hats to class, especially the classes with cucked professors. And what really brought a smile to my face was when I learned the Black kids were also wearing them. It might not happen at every SD school, but this particular one was very based.

Sorry but you must stay and fight to fix California. Not saying you’re a commie, but sooo many fucking commies have moved into my small town in NC from California; the liberal authoritarians decided to make the state unlivable so people would flock to affordable, well-run states and fuck them up. Please, don’t take offense, but you should not move East.

I do take offense. Me and my covfefe are moving.

It is most definitely not my job to fix California. That's insane. How the heck would you recommend we do that? The California Voter Gets what the California voter deserves. How the hell are you going to fix that?

We live in the most amazing country in the world. Don't like one state move somewhere else. I was born in the shit hole that is Los Angeles so that wasn't my choice. My folks were from Virginia and Ohio. Which is to say I am polite and have good manners and pay my taxes and don't break any laws that affect someone else's rights.

South Dakota sounds like my kind of state with their governor. I've never voted for a DimDem btw. Have you? I love god guns and country. Feel free to keep your sanctimonious attitude in NC.

These government Mandated shut downs we’re supposed to make sure the hospital system is not overwhelmed, which we have clearly done it every single state including hard-hitting New York where they shut down their field hospitals and sent away the comfort. Somehow the left has moved on to making sure no one gets this Virus because they think it kills everybody it infected.

3
Pederrr 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's because of TDS.

2
Kharn 2 points ago +2 / -0

I saw a dumb meme on reddit yesterday criticizing beach goers "who don't realize if they go home, the virus will go away faster." That's never been true, all the projected graphs and whatnot for "curve flattening" have been clear that it's meant to take longer but have less deaths. They always knew it was going to be dragged out, but some still try to claim the opposite. The sooner we open, the sooner it'll run its course.

2
thisisatestof2 2 points ago +2 / -0

But Karen still thinks if everyone were to hide inside for just 2 more weeks and wear a mask "we can stop this virus." Karen fails to realize that has never worked for any virus, it will not just disappear.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

South Dakotan here. Still open. Still not required to wear a mask. Went to Walmart a few days ago with no mask on and nobody said a thing.

2
bukkake 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can confirm. Don't own a mask, not buying one. Other than the stupid 'one way' aisles at Walmart, and them closing at 8:30pm, it's pretty much business as usual around here.

3
Kharn 3 points ago +3 / -0

Restricted hours make 0 sense. If you don't want people congregating, you should be open longer, so there's more windows to go without too many others around. Instead, you have everyone who would go after 8 going before 8, and everyone who was going before 8 anyway are still going at that time.

Wish the Governor of South Carolina would take lessons from the Governor of South Dakota. Here in South Carolina we can't even get a darn haircut. Seemingly the Governor of South Carolina is fine with anyone & everyone spending their entire day shopping in Lowe's, Home Depot & Wal-Mart. But getting a haircut is not allowed. Stepping in a restaurant is not allowed. Getting the dog groomed is not allowed. Going to the bar is not allowed. The governor of South Dakota realizes that businesses must be open to keep their economy going. Anyone else find the headline itself confusing? It read to me like Americans were giving up liberties while avoiding stay-at-home orders. I thought the first sentence of the article flowed much better:

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has defended her decision to not issue stay-at-home orders, while saying Americans have given up "liberties for a little bit of security" during the coronavirus pandemic.
