I, along with several others across the country, were part of an engineering group for Honeywell's Safety and Productivity Solutions Division.
In the interim between Trump's election and his inauguration, they let all of us go and shipped our engineering jobs to China. Some of them had been working for the company for over 20 years.
It had to be some cuck mid-level executive to made that decision. I'm sure the piece of shit is paying for it now.
There has to be a cost to doing this. Currently there is none. It's perfectly legal for any company to shop around the world for the cheapest labor rate. Sure, it sounds nice in theory, and in an individual case, but it destroys us collectively. It's yet another example of theory colliding headlong with reality. Except in this case, it's not socialism, it's free trade fundamentalism.
There needs to be a financial penalty to offshoring, otherwise it will keep happening.
