BTW, the treatment for Acute Cholecystitis is a surgery. A cholecystectomy. Unless you are so old and frail (like RBG) that surgeons won't touch you with a 10 foot pole.... Plus the usual population for acute Cholecystitis is the 4Fs. Fat, female, fertile and 40. That is to say fat women in their 40s who have had lots of kids. Not exactly RBGs demo.... We do know RBG has pancreatic cancer. The pancreatic duct and common bile duct exit into the small intestine in the same region.... If you have a big honking pancreatic cancer mass, you are at risk of having that mass impinge on the common bile duct, which drain the gall bladder and all the bile from the liver.... Could it be that the Cholecystitis is in fact a (kinda similar but much more serious) ascending cholangitis? Just speculating of course. Not sure I trust RBGs doctors on this one.
