Fauci had the same damn job when they released (in 2005) evidence that Hydroxychloroquine was a potent inhibitor of SARS coronaviruses (COVID19)

Conclusion

Administration of the HCQ+AZ combination before COVID-19 complications occur is safe and associated with very low fatality rate in patients.

This is settled science: HCQ and Azithromycin are two of safest, most-effective and most-proven medications in the past half century for treating viral maladies. At present, literally tens of thousands of people around the world have recovered from SARS/COVID infection using this inexpensive medicine regimen, administered under doctor's. orders. Some governments are actually hoarding it. Why, if its so ineffective? You know the answer to that. Oh, and the vaccine. Wait for a vaccine before "normal" returns? How's that HIV vaccine coming, thirty years on? By now you know Dr. Fauci has an agenda, revealed in his own statement he doesn't see a time again when people shake hands...this, from a lifelong bureaucrat who hasn't seen a patient in 20 years, now telling you how you will live out your life under the spectre of an invisible threat that kills no more than the seasonal flu.

Finally. Someone mentions ACE blockers, a common blood pressure medicine, and beta blockers, another drug of the old, both associated with poor clinical outcome.

We have been using HCQ here in Costa Rica with 0 negative effects and doctors say it IS working. We have few cases so we've been able to individualize treatment for each patient, but it works and the only reason why people are so fixated that it doesn't work is to spite Trump. Fuck them.

We could still force this news to be acknowledged and all open back up tomorrow.

Excellent results. Those with hypertension (high blood pressure) still saw a higher incidence of poor outcomes. Folks, if you have high blood pressure, it's time to evaluate your lifestyle and make changes.

Plus zinc!

NormaJeanRocks 4 points ago +4 / -0

Why is it that I've seen about 15 of these studies proving this, yet they say its not been proven effective?

9
oxygen 9 points ago +9 / -0

Because it's cheap. They want you to take remdesivir at $1,000 per dose, or wait for a vaccine.

Imagine that you release a disease on the public where you have a cure that you plan to sell for a thousand dollars a patient, licking your chops at the billions you'll be raking in... and some dirt bag in Kansas cures it with aspirin....

oxygen 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, sadly that's exactly what the medical industry does. Almost all disease is easily curable.

1061 patients, 8 died all over the age of 74 with repository problems.

A total of** 1061 patients** were included in this analysis (46.4% male, mean age 43.6 years – range 14–95 years). Good clinical outcome and virological cure were obtained in 973 patients within 10 days (91.7%). Prolonged viral carriage was observed in 47 patients (4.4%) and was associated to a higher viral load at diagnosis (p < .001) but viral culture was negative at day 10. All but one, were PCR-cleared at day 15. A poor clinical outcome (PClinO) was observed for 46 patients (4.3%) and** 8 died (**0.75%) (74–95 years old). All deaths resulted from respiratory failure and not from cardiac toxicity. Five patients are still hospitalized (98.7% of patients cured so far). PClinO was associated with older age (OR 1.11), severity at admission (OR 10.05) and low HCQ serum concentration. PClinO was independently associated with the use of selective beta-blocking agents and angiotensin II receptor blockers (p < .05). A total of 2.3% of patients reported mild adverse events (gastrointestinal or skin symptoms, headache, insomnia and transient blurred vision).

A lot of the 'failed' studies we saw are poorly applied. The issue wasn't about the sample size, or randomization, or double-blind. The issue was that they were trying to treat seriously ill patients, which ignores the mechanism by which the treatment works.

The hydoxychloroquine prevents the virus from taking hold in your system, so earlier treatment leads to better results. The azithromycin treats (or prevents) the secondary bacterial pneumonia that is extremely common with respiratory viruses.

If administered too late in the game, the patient is already undergoing a cytokine storm. That's what is mainly killing people. The persons' immune system is unleashing all it has, and is basically indiscriminately attacking everything. A younger individual can survive this in most cases, but an older individual, or people with other conditions, are going to get completely wrecked.

Don't forget the zinc, which people like Dr. Anthony Cardillo absolutely swear by. Zinc naturally helps prevent the virus from replicating and makes the treatment more effective:

This is a very good short explanation. You have obviously studied and understand it. Are you a teacher or clinician ?

so the big takeaway here is that this drug could have been played as an optimistic approach.. Shit man its something, but because its out of trump's mouth the media will demonize it to the end.. NOT OK

I wonder how many people the American media is redpilling in France, Europe ... wow America really does have fake news

Watch leftists sick with the coronavirus refuse this as treatment because Trump recommended it! I guarantee it'll happen, if it hasn't already!
