About 80% of them are Trump saying things like “it’s going to be the biggest/greatest/best deal/event/thing America’s ever had” and them saying things like “false, it’s not big/great/best.” The rest seemed like even pettier squabbling. “Trump said there were 20k illegals in this county. False. There are 19,589 illegals in this county.” Then they’d count any subsequent mention of that as a new ‘lie’ every time it happened. You’d have one statement counted as 1k ‘lies’.
Trump uses sales language. We get it. It isn’t called lying, it’s called puffery. Trump talks like a salesman. We get it. It works, so he keeps doing it. You know the media’s in a bad place when a salesman is clearly the most honest person in the room.
Trump’s pretty slick. At this point, I just assume if he mentions something like that, he likely has some kind of proof. Like with him calling out Joe’s dead pregnant GF. He put it right out there as a shot across the bow because he knows he did it and is prepared to let it out if Joe tries something funny on him.

That's terrible understanding. Comparing death rate to total population isn't a valid comparison, and that's the only measure by which your statement has merit. But how do you make a valid comparison? You can't. Never have we shielded ourselves to exposure from a virus to this extent. How many children are at risk of rickets due to lack of being in the sun? How many people's immune systems are at an all time low from doing nothing, when we all need supercharged immune systems?
