In these comments, We can see why the Left wins EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

They simply don't care about how they get you out of the way - they simply do it and worry about details later.

Here in this thread, 'Pedes are dividing over points and details of the law. The woman being heralded just a few days ago gets thrown under the bus simply because she won't bend the knee to her sovereign overlord and say, "Pretty please? I'm sooooo sorry!"

United we stand. Divided, we will always fall. Dividing over points of law unnecessarily will win the Left a victory every single time.

She thought the governor's order was unconstitutional (it is). She tried to save what is left of her business to save her kids. The judge did indeed place power and politics over decent sense, because the governor handed that power to him.

The judge didn't have to use the power, but he chose to. The governor didn't have to hand local officials the power to pull people into courts where this could happen, but he chose to.

Governor Abbott needs to understand three things: 1) Open up Texas ASAP, so this stuff cannot continue, 2) do all he can to pardon this woman and expunge her record of his mistake, and 3) make sure he learns this lesson good: to never allow this scenario to arise again.

This screw up has shown Democrats just how they put the screws to the people using the judiciary empowered by the executive branch.

We have a lot more civil disobedience before boog is reasonable.

Everyone hates this. Nobody likes non-criminals being locked up because they're in dire straits and trying to work. This isn't sustainable. Legally or civilly.

We're winning now, keep the pressure on. Live your lives as normal, I encourage you to even be pleasant while you're doing it.

Even the Dem politicians who pass this shit can't stand it and break it.

When you win the right way it takes time. Big things are still happening, Durham isn't done, 2020 isn't over by a long shot. Winning 2020 would give Trump a lot more time and even more precious judges.

But yes, the left has tremendous institutional/political/judicial/media power and they benefit from monstrous privilege when it comes to getting caught committing treason.

Always remember: Everything we've had up until now was won on a 2% chance. The enemy is literally enraged they were beaten. They're not just mad they lost, they considered it impossible. Many still do!

Based upon what happened today (5-7-2020), I will strongly disagree with you on the assertion we are WAY past dealing with these peacefully.

We are still in the peaceful phase. Pray we don't need to take it to the nut up stage.

If it goes there, I am in favor of walling off the blue sections of big cities around the nation, dropping the power grid to those targets, shutting off the utilities and all incoming traffic - land, water, and air. Outgoing traffic is limited to quarantine camp capacities for screening of diseases and traitors.

This will create a tremendous amount of human wreckage, and thousands of innocents will get caught up in the siege. However, this is the only way a new Civil War can be truly fought.

If true patriots within the war zones (as these blue cities would be called) want out, word would have to be passed to them to proceed to check points. If they want to band together to fight from within, they need logistics and support.

I take it you've already made connections to start these kinds of considerations and actions within the next day or two?

No one wants to see this happen, save the screwed in the brain Leftist pawns of the Globalist Communists, led by our own billionaires and the Chinese. Not you, and not I. Yet, stuff like I just described is the ONLY thing Leftists listen to: raw naked power.

If we can exercise that through what remains of our system, bravo. Keep it peaceful. What I suggested was to file suit against the police, deputies, and constables for enforcing illegally unconstitutional orders, the stripping of liberties, and drive these people out of office and make them personally liable for their power grabs. This has NOT been tried yet. Perhaps it will.

If the Fascists win in November through perceived vote fraud on an unprecedented scale, then you will shortly get your wish. If that happens, our country as we know it goes by the wayside - you will see the fruition of Obama's promised grand transformation of our nation.

What nonsense.

Public statements by non-parties are not *ex parte *communications.

By the moronic non-logic of that letter, a letter to the editor published in a newspaper that's critical of a judicial decision is cause to disbar the writer.

Scary shit. Time for some impeachments.

The People have the final say.

When judges didn't do their job, back in the colonial days we used to "impeach" them ourselves. Same for governors.

I don't think so.

If people came to believe that they had no control over the judiciary, we'd revert to our colonial ways.

Judges are supposed to be removed from office by the legislature / congress before the people get to them. If they are derelict in that duty, then The People will take matters into their own hands.

Have them arrested, Abbot.

2
SANTONUCCI 2 points ago +2 / -0

The left wins because the rules mean nothing to them.

The right loses because we're still trying to be civil. As long as that is the case, we will never win. The left is not afraid of us and they have no reason to be.

They need to start being afraid.

2
kuningus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then it's time for Texas citizens to "Urge" this judge ex parte.

2
Lol_Garrus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Translation: We do whatever the fuck we want and you (General Paxton) are out of line for dare trying to question us!

2
Hoakster1 2 points ago +2 / -0

No surprise here. Just liberals being liberals. You're simply not permitted to question their opinions or decisions. EVER. In this case, they're judges.

-22
ThomasGiferson -22 points ago +3 / -25

They're right. From what I can see, the judge was pretty cool headed enforcing the executive branch's stupid orders.

Look, she was arrested for violating Abbott's orders under his emergency authority. The judge only demanded an apology. She refused, and defied Abbott and his stupid fucking emergency orders. She got tagged for publicly defying the law with a pretty light sentence, it seems to me. And now the executive branch, which is responsible for these orders, is going to throw a little hissy fits, because the judge enforced Abbott's order and Abbott's emergency powers.

GIVE ME A BREAK.

PoohClimbsTrees 22 points ago +22 / -0

You leave out where the jail sentence was because she would not apologize to the officials. The fine was already imposed. The jail sentence has NOTHING to do with her opening. It was all because she would not kiss the ring when told told.

-13
ThomasGiferson -13 points ago +1 / -14

"The judge only demanded an apology. She refused, and defied Abbott and his stupid fucking emergency orders.", I said. I didn't leave anything relevant out.

12
PoohClimbsTrees 12 points ago +12 / -0

Dallas County Judge Eric Moye offered Luther the opportunity to avoid jail time if she apologized for being "selfish," paid a fine and shut her doors until Friday, when salons are permitted to resume business.

"I have to disagree with you, sir, when you say that I'm selfish, because feeding my kids is not selfish," Luther told Moye in response. "I have hairstylists that are going hungry because they would rather feed their kids. So sir, if you think the law is more important than kids getting fed, then please go ahead with your decision. But I am not going to shut the salon."

Ya, the judge was really cool headed in his reaction of jail time for her response... /smh

8
ThomasGiferson 8 points ago +9 / -1

Heh. I missed that. I missed the "selfish" part.

I'm wrong. Fuck the judge. He should have never demanded that.

But is that what Abbott is whining about? I don't think so.

11
TJac 11 points ago +12 / -1

You are full of shit. The nazi jailed her because he felt she disrespected him"contempt" Power trip.

-8
ThomasGiferson -8 points ago +2 / -10

Judges have a responsibility to uphold the law. She openly defied the law, not just the judge. What do you suppose the judge should have done in the face of her defiance? Just said, "Well, if you don't want to apologize, then never mind. Have a good day." At that point, he just essentially said, "Fuck Abbott and his orders."

5
TJac 5 points ago +6 / -1

Why should should she apologize for trying to make a living?Fine her.But to hold her in contempt for not begging for mercy is nothing less than contemptible. The judge is a lowlife.By the way what LAW was he upholding?

4
Marshall 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have yet to see the LAW that was violated. As far as I can tell, Executive Orders have the weight of recommendations unless you're a member of the executive branch. Inalienable rights are inalienable.

We lost our way. We are not ruled by tyrants, even if they wear robes.

7
OneOfMany_MAGA 7 points ago +7 / -0

She publicly defied the governor’s order and the resulting judge’s restraining order, but most importantly to this judge, she refused to apologize.

I’m not sure what “law” she broke. The governor’s order is not a law passed by the Texas legislature. It may be that the order is an unconstitutional restriction of liberty and pursuit of happiness.

This virus is not an emergency. Home jailing all citizens and restricting them from pursuing their occupation while leaving responsibility for paying their bills on their shoulders puts citizens in an untenable position.

There are ways to protect those at risk without tramping everyone else’s rights. A couple of weeks was understandable to get a grip on the severity of this outbreak. But at this point it’s just a political football and the world needs to start turning again.

-5
ThomasGiferson -5 points ago +3 / -8

The law at issue is the law that gives Abbott the authority to issue such orders under emergencies. She's openly defying that legal authority.

I agree. The virus is not an emergency that should give Abbott the power to order businesses shut down. She's heroic to defy it. Now what's the judge supposed to do? I suppose he could rule that Abbott doesn't have that power or that he's misused it, and let her off. Is that the ruling you wanted from him? I doubt a state district judge would rule that way, given the entire state and just about the entire rest of the country, pursued that strategy, one endorsed and promoted by the President of the United States.

TJac 3 points ago +4 / -1
