There is not and has never been a "worker shortage" that needed low quality foreign workers in the first place. States should have a lot more power and be between where they're now and being like their own countries almost. Not this half-assed "compromise" that lets the feds do pretty much what they want and forces others to follow.
States should be able to be different enough, because they are different in so many ways. But we should still be able to move freely between them, as that would make it possible to get to as close as possible to your favored style of government.

I'm mainly worried about corporations and billionaires like Soros having way too much power if we don't have a government to push them down. I imagine plenty of people would betray their country for money and help out men like Soros in command of some territory, basically becoming modern warlords.
