But what happens when that unemployment runs out and the place you worked at cut hours, workers, or just closed down. And what happens when tax revenue to the government drops? They are going to have to cut staff too.

They also don't understand that unemployment is just a kind of loan. It will come out of their taxes in the coming years. There's no such thing as free money - it must be backed by products and services or it has no worth.
Not to mention all the seasonal workers who require XXX hours to claim unemployment benefits. If you use them all up NOW, on the Covid, what happens next Oct/Nov when that damn Winter comes back and the seasonal employees don't have enough XXXhours to meet the eligibility for EI benefits?
