The data I want to see is what percentage of confirmed Covid-19 cases had a flu vaccine in 2019 or 2020. See how those numbers compare to the military study that found flu vaccine is linked to a greater susceptibility to corona viruses.

Not a coincidence. When my wife's family comes over i am the only one taking the tequila shots and none of her family ever gets tequila.

Warning: do not give Karens tequila. The result is really, really annoying.

7
russianbot4673 7 points ago +7 / -0

maybe it's just me but, gin and tonic actually tastes good. a good martini is good too. scotch and pretty much any whiskey tastes like ass. but i think that's the whole idea, to prove how manly and/or sophisticated you are by drinking 'good' scotch or whiskey, or the cheap stuff like jack black, and pretending to like it. that's my theory anyway.

i guess a better comparison though would be rum- some of which actually tastes good. el dorado 12yr, that's good stuff, and not too expensive. maybe because it's not made from corn or grains? who wants to drink corn juice or grain juice? it's just crazy. rum is made from like, sugar cane or molasses. that sounds good, i'll have some of that. corn juice? fuck no what am i crazy? gross.

6
Pedeville 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's all about getting used to the taste. I didnt like beer when I started drinking, then I loved it, then I hated it again and now I love it again.

But I always mix my liquor, whether its whiskey or vodka so it tastes good regardless

russianbot4673 3 points ago +3 / -0

well i think one problem for me is that at some point about 10yrs ago i somehow became sensitive to any dark colas. they mess with my stomach/bowels a bit. i used to drink jack or crown royals and coke when i was younger and i think that stuff tastes OK and sometimes i miss it. but i still prefer a good rum.

1
Pedeville 1 point ago +1 / -0

2
Airvehicle2 2 points ago +2 / -0

I love a good gin and tonic. Always been my favorite.

2
Jack_Burton 2 points ago +2 / -0

Scotch has all kinds of flavors added from sweet caramel, maple, vanilla, and cherry notes. Some don’t taste them though, so I get it. But maybe next time try it with a teaspoon of water, it really opens it up. Cheers!

3
russianbot4673 3 points ago +3 / -0

actually, i've only had scotch a couple of times and it was loooong ago (was a teen) and i thought it was disgusting, but i don't remember what brand it (probably some label of johnnie walker) was and i have been planning to buy some laphroaig or something to at least feel like i gave it a fair shot. i do think the peat involved in making it and lending some flavor is interesting so i will get around to it eventually. but pretty much any whiskey i've ever had, it's just gross (mainly talking about straight or on rocks, in mixed drinks it can be ok but i like to be able to just drink something relatively unaltered) if i'm being honest.

3
Pedeville 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fireball with Coca Cola and some ice cubes, and your world will be complete

2
Jack_Burton 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fair enough. I am probably more biased than most, having Scottish lineage and being pretty fascinated with the process of making it. Johnny Walker Black was the first I tried, now I am on a bottle of highland park 12 year, not too expensive, but has a lot of those sweeter flavors and less peat/smoke. Cheers!

Never got a flu shot either...never have had the flu.

So yes, I tend to agree with you on this one. I’m both pro-vaccine and completely against the flu shot,

There are no "free lunches" when it comes to the human anatomy.

I'm all for the polio vaccine and the like but not the flu because there are no free lunches.

After years of fighting a vaccinated version of the flu the immune system gets a bit lax; as its never needed to fight REALLY hard. Now its having too and ends up going into hyperdrive which ends up killing them.

26
Homopratensis1 26 points ago +27 / -1

Yea, the flu shot is always changing so you never know if it's safe long term. I work in immunology and half of us refuse. Unfortunately many old, proven, effective vaccines are changed over time (basically to make more money for the maker). This is a problem too. If you have kids you will be bombarded with all sorts of combined vaccines and you either accept or refuse (now you are labeled a criminal child abuser). There is no rational middle ground where you accept the relatively safe and proven kinds (polio) and refuse the dubious (hpv).

3
SordidPontification 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is no rational middle ground where you accept the relatively safe and proven kinds (polio) and refuse the dubious (hpv).

Could you clarify this bit?

I'm assuming you mean that people on opposite extremes don't see a reasonable middle ground where people ought to be able to pick which vaccines they want?

8
Pedeville 8 points ago +8 / -0

Never had a flu shot, but I usually get a pretty bad cold every other winter, duno if it's 'the flu' or what, but it keeps me out of work for a week or so each time.

Never gonna take a flu shot. If you need a new vaccine each year its not really about the vaccine is it? If it worked you wouldnt have to take it every goddamn year (coz the virus mutates).

And its not like im 80 years old and gonna die from a cold anyways

6
Shit_tyrone 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's really sad that people have to try and distance themselves from people who are anti-vaccine, like they're degenerates or something. Not attacking you or anything, it just frustrates me. My wife and I are anti-vaccine and she has done more research on vaccines than anyone I've ever talked to. We, as a group, talk about how corrupt and bad people like bill gates and that are and how you can't trust the pharmaceutical industry but you're labeled as a cook if you think they would shove unnecessary vaccines and/or unsafe vaccines just to turn a profit. Why is the covid vaccine bad but all the other ones are just fine? I don't get it.

3
Averon 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've never had the flu and never had the shot. I grew up in Chicago. I won't say my mom was anti-vaxx but she definitely did not get us kids vaccinated after kindergarten. Keep in mind I was born in the 70's when the schedule was maybe 14 shots total up to 18. She just forged the little medical card.

The only other time I was vaccinated was the initial gauntlet they ran us through in boot camp. I refused every other shot once I got to the fleet.

2
Dreeval 2 points ago +2 / -0

How did you refuse in the fleet? We were always told we dont have choice and will be court martial for refusing. That goes for anti malarial meds to, which make a lot of people fucking nuts for months.

1
Datdevildawg 1 point ago +1 / -0

Religious waiver. Signed up with the recruiter and told him I didn't want the shots. But when I got to boot camp they shot me up anyway. After I graduated boot camp I raised a stink. Told them I was a Jehovah's witness (my mother was) I hadn't gone or been an active member since I was 13. Just didn't want to be a Guinea pig for experimental vaccines.

2
Dreeval 2 points ago +2 / -0

Semper fi brother! I cringe thinking about all the shots I got in my time. Has to be in the hundreds, hope they didn't inject a kill switch.

29
IAbsolutelyDare 29 points ago +29 / -0

When they start trying to lower flu rates to make it seem less dangerous than corona, remember that flu rates are with the vaccine. Imagine how high they'd be without the annual flu shot, and suddenly OMG flu is WORSE than corona!!! (I don't actually believe that but it would be amusing to watch NPCs explode.)

25
Mrsattorney 25 points ago +25 / -0

I never get the flu shot and i haven't had a flu-like illness since 1997. At a presser the other day, POTUS remarked that he's never had the flu and he never gets the flu shot, lol. The efficacy rate of the flu vaccine is so low, it's ridiculous. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, but I really don't like the way the government has gotten into pushing these vaccines on people.

8
cheesecakelove 8 points ago +8 / -0

Same here friend. Never had a flu shot or the flu.

You know, whenever someone brings up the “I don’t get the flu shot and never had the flu” you always get some raging shitbird saying “ANECDOTAL EVIDNCE!”

At what point is it no longer anecdotal? I see people say that ALL THE TIME.

24
KAGALOSAURUS 24 points ago +24 / -0

14
VetforTrump 14 points ago +14 / -0

4
StarGirl 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think nurses are all forced to get the flu vaccine every year because of their job. My mom was a nurse at a care home for over 25 years and told me she was required to. Guess what? Even though she hasn't been working in over 3 years and is at home with a disability she got corona virus. I think all those years of shots made her susceptible.

I mean, that’s just insane thinking.

I agree with them though. It's silly to be opposed to a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. Because you can't strictly be opposed to something that will never exist. :)

For people who don't realize this is a JOKE and have a knee-jerk reaction to downvote, or who think that there will magically be a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, consider:

Earlier, I linked to a review of SARS-CoV vaccines from 2009 which demonstrated that, although it should be possible, no one has ever demonstrated one to work successfully--and of these, whole inactivated virus provoked an immune disease in animal models. Not exactly something you want.

There were no human studies, and the entire idea of vaccinating against SARS-CoV-2 seems to me to be complete fantasy as of this writing.

Possible? Sure. But there's a tremendous uphill battle.

32
IAmAnElephante 32 points ago +32 / -0

I can not understand how people get anti-vaxx out of this documentary though. She even says immunotheraphy is something she recommends. Like many, people are skeptical of covid-19 vaccine, not all vaccines. B.c you say no to 1 vaccine doesnt mean you're anti-vaxx...its fucking mind numbing

I can't help but feel this is part of his usual strategy of embrace, extend, extinguish. We tried to warn everyone back then, but no one listened!

Brief aside: Hard to believe it's been >20 years already since the whole SCO fiasco MS was quietly (lol) cheering from the sidelines. It'll be 20 years next month when Windows ME was foisted onto the world--then quietly swept under the rug without any fanfare.

5
SordidPontification 5 points ago +5 / -0

They're deleting MedCram's videos as well when all he's been doing is posting existing research for and against something. One of his hydroxychloroquine videos was removed, and it ironically discussed some of the negative research.

6
UpTrump 6 points ago +7 / -1

I feel fucking hopeless. Big corporations own us. You can't deny it. Maybe not us, but the majority of the population. What is the way out if we don't want to become china?

6
SordidPontification 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's hard not to feel that way. We're told "oh, build your own platform, $pejorative."

Well, okay. But video hosting isn't cheap. Bandwidth ain't cheap. YouTube was a loss leader for years, and for all I know still isn't making much profit. If they want to cut costs, fine. Be upfront and honest about it.

But randomly removing videos because they contain "hydroxychloroquine" in the title without reviewing whether those same videos contain factual information isn't just wrong, it's almost criminal.

YT is running afoul of the CDA section 230 provisions. They're not a platform, they're a publisher. Change my mind.

4
Cliffy8484 4 points ago +4 / -0

I hate agreeing w/ you, but I'm getting to the point of feeling the same way. I really thought the tide was turning and more "normies" we're waking up in recent weeks, but my wife shared that vid on fb and the amount of vitriol that was hurled upon her by so-called "friends" was unsettling (even though it was obvious they hadn't even attempted to watch the vid). Along with some new nformation that the Chinese virus may have been engineered for gain of function.

Dude is legit. He was calling it correctly since January. I know because I been watching since his first video.

LeftistsAreInsane 11 points ago +11 / -0

I just watched it. Holy fuck. Fauci needs to be in jail. That doctor he railroaded needs to sue tor civil rights violations under section 1983 (and other sections).

I had the exact same thoughts as Scott. All I could think of was the DOJ/FBI trying to take down Trump, and that was all I needed to understand whether this could occur.

I'm glad I do not take any flu vaccines or anything else. I was no doubt vaccinated as a baby/kid against the usual shit, but not after that. I feel bad knowing that our military may be receiving some sort of vaccinations that are inherently dangerous.

Russia collusion = conspiracy theory. Fauci a nazi fraud = truth. Notice how the MSM called the #1 virologist in the world a fringe scientist for supporting HCQ? Fauci is #39 with a questionable past.

Ha ha ha, Scott. Now do Q anon.

They keep promoting the absurd idea that the world is run by a global cabal of ultra-uber-rich satanic murderers whose energy for money laundering, racketeering, espionage and trafficking in drugs and humans is limitless, fueled by the blood and body parts of babies and children whom they cannibalize after first methodically raping and terrorizing them to spike the blood with adrenochrome (an oxidation product of adrenaline, produced when a child is in prolonged fear and physical agony), and that Trump and the military are gradually putting a stop to it while revamping the broken and corrupt intelligence apparatus of the United States Government.

Wait. Oh, fuck.

Forte 4 points ago +6 / -2

I'm still on the fence about believing it. I can see it being true and frankly wouldn't be surprised, but almost nobody is talking about this in any form of media that I've seen. What makes me really start to believe it is that there was a shitload of editing about the dr in the video and how she's a massive anti-vaxxer. It seemed like they were really trying to discredit her, and that usually means something's being covered up. Also YouTube is deleting it and I obviously am naturally suspicious of those fuckers.

I would really like to see a real journalist (i.e. not CNN) take up an investigation into this and try to corroborate it if possible. It seems like a lot of the information here should be verifiable.

5
RocketSurgeon22 5 points ago +5 / -0

She makes vaccines for a living. Anyone saying she is anti-vaxx is not worth having a discussion with.

2
a_wise_shiba_inu 2 points ago +3 / -1

How can one think too much?

3
sun_wolf 3 points ago +4 / -1

When instinct guides someone to the right answer or action immediately, but then thinking comes in, over-complicates the situation, and steers them awry. This is common with multiple choice questions where the longer a person stares at the question they will start to cook up some convoluted reason why it is actually the wrong answer.

Scott called RFK Jr. ""a fucking piece of shit" for his being on social media opposing Bill Gates. Per Scott's own Persuasion theory of how to manipulate, his tweet does just that: to paraphrase what his persuasion theory would say about people reading this tweet, is that he effectively put into people's minds that it is "ridiculous bullshit conspiracy nuttery". Another successful day of gatekeeping by the Master Gateke- I mean, Persuader .... Scott Adams.

7
sun_wolf 7 points ago +7 / -0

Interesting angle. Adams also claims Epstein killed himself. And he has been a part of the corporate media for decades now. But I still don’t think he is evil or a pedophile. I just think he is one of these guys who refuses to accept the idea that establishment elites are corrupt and working together to fuck people over. A lot of people his age are like this. He is the kind of person who absolutely positively believes every single part of the official 9/11 narrative and will plug his ears and cover his eyes if you try to show him anything about that day that seems fishy.

3
MarkusFerReelius 3 points ago +3 / -0

He is quite stupid in the sense that he admits he views everything from his filter: which is that "people who call out conspiracies fail to understand that incompetence accounts for what people see as plots with bad intentions."

So yeah if that is his filter and he cannot wear more hats than that, then he is a fucking stunted retard

How can you look HONESTLY at the world and decide to settle on one fucking "filter" to judge everything by?
Stunted and moronic. But he admits this is how he sees everything. .

I listened to this podcast yesterday. It took me all day as I have a household to run and kids to homeschool but was worth my time. https://truepundit.com/exclusive-top-scientist-hiv-aids-research-pioneer-dr-judy-mikovits-was-key-witness-in-fbi-investigation-of-dr-fauci-before-fbis-james-comey-ag-eric-holder-covered-it-up/

Also, I began reading a book by Janine Roberts, Fear of the Invisible. She was an investigative journalist and was talked into researching the MMR vaccine by a friend. She went into it knowing vaccines saved humanity and were safe. It’s an interesting and informative read and extremely well sourced. She then goes into HIV. This book is like a prequel to Mikovits. Of course Fauci among others is included.

11
Nomolies 11 points ago +11 / -0

Fauci’s ex-employee says Fauci is corrupt and got her thrown in jail.

But here is a summary I posted recently with the main factual point that the video gets to, about halfway through.

Quasi-governmental officials have been permitted since the early 80s - by a legislative change that was intended to help universities patent their own research - to profit personally from vaccines and various pharmaceutical developments. It creates a conflict of interest - what is good for the public may not be what generates the most money for the public health official who makes the public health decisions that affect you personally.

If we did not let this occur - by changing our laws - it would eliminate the incentive for public health advisors to push new patentable medicine by supressing information about the effectiveness of existing medicine with expired patents. Money corrupts.

The argument in the video- whether it has bearing on Fauci’s potitions or not (I think it does) - makes a huge amount of sense. We do not want the public officials, who tell us to stay inside and lose our jobs, to have an incentive to do something that benefits them much more than it benefits us.

-3
DisgustedByMisleadia -3 points ago +1 / -4

How would Fauci profit from his patents? They are owned by the US government. You can look them up for yourself:

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=0&p=1&f=S&l=50&Query=in%2Ffauci-anthony%24%0D%0A%0D%0A&d=PTXT

That's a weird URL, but it contains the search parameters. You should get a list of 8 patents. Click on any of them, and look at the assignee field:

Assignee: The United States of America, as Represented by the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services (Washington, DC)

All of them are related to treatment of HIV. What is the relationship to COVID-19?

I'm an inventor or co-inventor of a half-dozen patents, but all of them are assigned to my (former) employer. My only benefit from them is a set of plaques on my shelf.

2
Nomolies 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good question and thanks for confirming re patents.

The Department of Health and Human Services doesn’t manufacture pharmaceuticals. But it holds patents.

As the patent holder, it can decide to whom it grants a license or licenses to to manufacture the drugs, vaccines, etc. that are the subject of its patents. Does any individual involved with the Department’s decisions re patent licensing receive direct or indirect (e.g., a kickback via a family member or through a foundation) compensation from the licensee who manufactures the pharmaceuticals?

I don’t know the answer but I suspect that that could have been what the researcher/former employee in the video was trying to claim. That the Department’s leadership claimed / held control over the patents and (she claims) somehow received compensation through this.

I don’t know one way or another if she is correct/incorrect on her specific allegations. But the larger point, that our current rules do not prevent public policy types from profitting from their own recommendations (whether directly or indirectly) made sense - I hope people can research and confirm if this is in fact happening in practice.

I think that was the real point in Scott Adams’ tweet - a lot of stuff in the video is alleged, some of it might even be true, no way to tell because it was short on factual details.

That’s why I singled out the general point of the film as the main takeaway that matters for people who decide to watch it. The idea that our current system allows for conflict-of-interest situations made sense to me. That can corrupt university research. For example, if a researcher continues to receive outside grants provided that a study comes to the conclusion the grantor wants. Or research regarding benefits of a university patented drug or procedure is rewarded within a university slants toward the conclusion that would support the use of what is patented. Or a prof with decisions over patent licensing personally has direct compensation or a kickback from the patent licensee. Etc.

I have already seen some indications that some public health officials are motivated by something other than objective science. Fauci reacted like the metoo movement to Hydroxychloroquine and Remdesivir - skepticism to one claim from the outset and receptivity to the other, before all the corroborating data is in. I am not accusing Fauci because I have not seen a factual basis yet to assert anything, but it would not suprise me if there were. This is an issue that is worth crowd-sourced researching to confirm if there are / are not flies in the ointment.

0
DisgustedByMisleadia 0 points ago +1 / -1

From what I can tell, 3 of the patents on which Fauci is named as inventor have already expired. But, it's a really convoluted process to determine the expiration, and I didn't try to figure it out.

If you think it's worth researching a possible conflict-of-interest, please do. But, it serves no purpose to accuse Fauci of one without actual proof, or redistribute a video that tries to promote that narrative with a bunch of half-truths.

This is "Russian collusion", redux. There's no evidence, and only innuendo. I never believed "Russian collusion", and I'm not buying this, either.
