Yet I would argue that if MOST of government would be shut down, we would all be better off! Most essential government jobs could be done by private contractors---better, faster and cheaper.
Exactly, alot of government jobs just waste a shit ton of money. VDOT here in Virginia is terrible for that shit. They could send it to a private contractor and probably cut the cost in half.
