Born into catholic family mid 50's, received sabin polio vaccine in 58 and spent next 6 months at hospital in an iron lung. Upper body and lung atrophy impact my life and opportunities but I am blessed.
I am one of many polio victims from that pandemic period who were shuffled off into life without coddling or social support. I have no illusions about medical industry and it's unintended adverse consquences. I have no illusions about governments "good intentions" and the need for our "greater good".
God has tempered my ego and blessed me with a full life. I trust the Bible and our salvation through Christ Jesus. I am thankful for today and tomorrow.
During this pandemic, I pray for a renewed trust in Christ and God's will be done. Amen.
