The Coronavirus Racial Inequality Task Force in NY or wherever is hilarious. If they actually cared about minorities they thought were impacted by all this, they’d take those millions of dollars and just give it to them. You already know the conclusions of the task force are going to be that the virus affected them more and had worse results because the task force would be seen as a laughing stock and failing if it didn’t. I can’t recall a single government committee of that kind that didn’t reach the conclusions it was designed to reach. They’d be fired if they didn’t. And now we have another multimillion dollar set of useless administrators receiving tax payer money.
I would assume more black people would be at a higher risk of dying from it because they’re more at risk for things like diabetes and obesity. More of them probably got laid off over the shutdown too because they have real jobs.
If they’re going to waste the money on the committee anyway, this is one situation where I’d rather just give millions of dollars to minorities. At least it wouldn’t go to the politicians race bating them and trying to make them government slaves in exchange for votes.
