Kinda of weird story, but as a young guy I was fooling around on the farm with my single pump daisy gun and saw a praying mantis sitting on a split rail fence. I was about 15 yards away and took a shot at it, not really aiming. The bb hit it on directly in the head, perfectly decapitating it. It was like a one in million shot. Anyhow, this mantis starts flopping around on the ground and making insect rattling noises all over the place for several minutes. I remember being kinda scared it went on so long.
