Guns work just fine in space .. (with a bit of different chemistry for the propellants) .. , better, even, since less air to slow the projectiles.

But, yeah, think Particle Beams and chemical-cartridge Xray lasers.

Stoopidly enough, all the jargon in the film 'Real Genius' was existing technology, and that was 35 years ago.

Personally I do not understand the logistics behind space colonization, but I think it will happen a long time from now. But guns do work in space.

"WILDCARD, BABY!"

The gang solves the energy crisis, that may be my favorite episode, - the rando that they keep fvxking his poor parked car.😆

The Importance of Wild Card - can't believe I actually tracked this down.. read far enough to get to the Vulcan explanation.

Having the high ground means not only being 'up there' but having the savvy to know what you are there for. And having the savvy not to have accidents while up there. Of course it could be like my friend said "The Space Force allows us to give billions of dollars to the Martians..." She was a bit drunk at the time. There are costs and advantages to 'being up there'. you have to weigh them.
