Our president was part of it too. Sad to say.

I agree, but what else could he do? He tried to put the best spin on it that he could. The dems whipped up the panic with the media. Even rational people bought into it. They would have blamed 2 million deaths on him if he fought it. And we would have ended up with mayor pete in 2020.

The 2M model is utter bullshit.

The number we have today is probably 2x inflated since the Cares Act made incentives to code ANY case as Covid after mandating hospitals not take elective procedures.

Ok, people who i thought were rational before this. This has changed how i feel about quite a few people, that i can tell you. Not just the people who bought into the hysteria, but the people who are milking it out, and who think never going back to work would be a good idea. And the people and companies who were trying to find a way to capitalize on it, and use it as a marketing tool. And the fucking karens,

Theres a cottage company i support that makes backpacking gear. It went from the owner being a good guy for staying open to keep his workers employed, to him being eviscerated on social media for putting his employees in danger. All because of karens. Fuck karens.

How many Karens are in charge of spending money on backpacking gear? Some mothers of boy scouts and that’s it?

I was someone who originally thought the virus was bad, before realizing what was really going on. Here's my take on it.

I followed the situation based on "leaks" from china, all the way in early/mid December. At that point the media was aggressively downplaying it, and thinking it was nothing to worry about. That is what made me worry, stock up on supplies, etc. At that time I DID think this was going to be huge. Once things started progressing, and the media started really blowing this out of proportion, while I could see the real data wasn't backing up the claims, that's when I started realizing that this situation was actually backwards, and the virus wasn't actually that bad at all. Especially once reports started coming out about Hydroxychloroquine, and how effective it can be. How can it really be so bad, if we call could easily be healed?

I'd consider myself a rational person, and I try and always verify everything I hear, especially if it comes from the media. Now the people that are STILL acting all crazy over this (my friends, family, and almost everyone else I know) they're the ones being irrational. I really wish I could convince them. But hey, I think things are going to be happening pretty soon, and they'll figure it out sooner or later.

This is a tough one. On the one hand it's been disappointing watching Trump even acknowledge that this is some kind of "hidden enemy" and not a colossal fuckup. On the other hand Trump is working to win over the middle of the country who is still plugged into the MSM and has to engage with those people.

Additionally, it's hard to say how much was known when. There was a lot of uncertainty back in February and honest information was hard to find.

I think Trump played it perfectly. They tried to convince him to act over the top in his response but he decided to leave the decision making up to the states and provide reasonable federal assistance as needed. The Governors of the states caved to the media pressure without any push back. IMO, the media (DNC) was gearing up to flip the narrative and make Trump look like a dictator/bad leader when the dust finally settled. Since Trump didn't bite, the media/bad actors are now scrambling to double down on the original narrative that they were planning on gas lighting. While theres multiple agendas flowing through coronavirus.....this was no doubt the main agenda of the media (DNC). It's obvious to see when viewed in hindsight. Their focus has always been on Trump throughout all of this.

You can always rebuild the economy. In reality the virus kind of popped the bubble before it got worse.

Lets look at this, come 2024 there would have been a massive recession ( the market signs were already there), the market was over-valued, there were certain sectors spending more than they were taking in banking on future sales. Depending on how much the Republican Congress would cuck the american people. Trump may not have gotten manufacturing out of China as he wanted.

Now....We have the party onboard the "Kick China to the Curb" and wanting to bring manufacturing back to the United States. There's also the "Make China pay" crowd that want to uproot and burn Chinese interest that have infested our country. None of this could have happen had we just kept going....it would have been harder. The Silver lining is we can really fuck over China and we should. Erase our debt with China, take back our manufacturing from China, remove Chinese investments out of our Entertainment, Industry, and commercial & private property. Lets not also forget a bunch of Blue States are going to reap the whirlwind after all of this.

Always remember, you can always reverse a negative, just keep the positive and keep spread the "We need our manufacturing back, We need better jobs,.No more Reliance on China or other Foreign Countries".

I think the "Hidden Enemy" Trump was talking about is being revealed in all of the transcripts that are now being released.

Unfortunately, Pravda will never report on the details of these transcripts.

This.

The "plandemic" was designed to destroy Trump.

He was supposed to OPPOSE the coronavirus narrative. ("TRUMP DENIES SCIENCE!!! REEEEEEEE!!!")

When he went along with it, it caught the Democrats by surprise!

Yep, making it a wartime response was brilliant.

That won't happen. They will just say that the quarantine saved us all and end it there.

A bunch of area doctors in my neck of the woods have shown that the Virus ran through our City three months ago. They found this after CA started doing antibody testing. As it counts 40% of my City has shown antibodies within their system. They are also stating its far higher with the maximum being 85%, That's a population of 2.3 million people in the city. [family has proven positive for antibodies against the Wuflu]

His hands were pretty tied. If he didn’t double down on it, the world would still shut down and he’d be called a mass murderer. It was a battle he couldn’t get around, so he instead decided to fight it better than they could have imagined by closing the borders immediately, etc.

1
sun_wolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

He also let them make any stupid request and would consistently over-deliver just to shut them up. Look at the ventilators. Now we are shipping ventilators around the world because Trump got all the ventilators Democrats could ask for. Pretty hard to push their “not enough ventilators!” talking point when we are literally giving ventilators away now because we have too many.

1
ClownTamer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thinking about it, it’s very telling that they thought they’d stump a business man with an issue of meeting demand. Suddenly the world has more ventilators than it even needs.

So was everybody. But it was somewhat justified, given what we knew and didn't knew back then. Trump covered for the case that it's an unstoppable Chinese bio-weapon. Orban (Hungary's PM) closed their borders quickly too.

And if it were an actually lethal virus, they'd be among those who did best to mitigate and fight it. Regardless of that they delayed the spread by weeks, yielding more time for more information to come in. As of today it long turned ideological and political, so the virus is no longer about merely doing the right thing in a pragmatic way, but about political back and forth. We are on the correct side, leftists, as always, toy with their fantasy, fearmongering and attempts to destroy the economy to make political advancements.

It's sad however to see to what degree our governments world-wide can turn authoritarian on a whim. If anything, the virus was very revealing in that regard. Also remember that the US is very decentralized, so a lot of decision making was not up to Trump in the first place.

I too believed that the virus is way more lethal. With new information I changed my mind, and now I am way more radical about lifting any lockdowns and any other mandates than everyone else - because it does not make sense, and didn't do previously either.
