I always get a big chuckle when this comes up in political conversations or our relationship with Saudi Arabia. Not a difficult decision especially when you know anything about geopolitics, the middle east and any of the other potential allies we could chose instead.

We really fucked up in Iraq, Egypt and by extension Syria. Those weren't great cards but at least we had a semblance of an alliance. The haters exact like Swiss neutrality is the option too that we are all just overlooking and then they scream "neocon" or whatever.
