Can anyone explain why so few leftists step up and say things like "President Trump has a point about hydrochloroquine"?
It is as if they cannot say anything positive, as if driven by irrational rage, that prevents them from thinking logically or treating someone they may disagree with fairly. You would have thought that occasionally they could concede a point, but they never seem to do it.
When you have bought into a world view based 100% on partisan activists' lies and then those lies are finally exposed for all to see, major cognitive dissonance ensues. The True Believers are forced to double-, triple- and quadruple-down on their faith in the lies, because they can not face the fact that they are the bad guys in this situation.
You can't LOGIC someone out of a position they were EMOTED into.

The tough pill to swallow is recognizing that the reason "Common Core math and reading skills go down " ... is because the core organizing principle wasn't "Math and reading skills". It was "Making emotional Thinkers".
