If this guy keeps it up, I might have to buy a Tesla.
Be careful. You'll be drinking soy milk, buying $19 acai bowls every day, and inviting your wife to get a boyfriend if you buy a Tesla. Just based on observations.
Electric cars are overall completely fucking whack
But go test drive a Tesla. They are seriously unicorn farts and magic - they are muscle cars - they are exotic super cars - they are faster than Porsche’s - they are completely nuts.
Plus they made driving a $100k car socially accepting - which as a capitalist - I’m always in favor of
What shocks me the most is how they're going to get away with this. So many morons willingly giving up their rights in the name of a virus that's no longer more deadly than the flu. They're 100% trying to keep things closed down because they know the longer things are down the harder it will be to pull us out of it.
If you went to reddit you would think this virus was literally a billion zombies outside ready to bite you the second you step outside. In fact, if you want a really good laugh go to /r/collapse and sort by "Past Month". These people literally thought (and many still think) society was going to completely collapse and they were starting to set up discords to form "local communities full of people with lots of skills". They're fucking lunatics.
Elon is going to build the Cyber Truck in Waco TX. He's been in negotiations with the city for months. This hasn't been reported yet, but is well-known to many at Tesla in the Bay Area of CA. Why not move all production there now.
Alliance Airoort Industrial area, north of Fort Worth woukd be better. Shipping in and out by air, trucking, or rail is right there. International airport, too. Cargo Airport is there.
Cost/benefit analysis. What’s the cost of moving it to Texas/Nevada? Will it cost just as much to move it to Texas then they will lose by not being open and in the long term save on taxes.
Meaning: If it cost the $5 to not be open. But since they are closed it will cost them $5 to move and people can’t work anyway so they won’t have to keep people from working in a futur move, and the taxes are lower longterm. Then he will move it. I think he will. It’s a perfect time. Everyone isn’t working anyways and he won’t have to close down in the future WHILE paying people.
Elon already has considerable experience with operating commercially in Texas with SpaceX. I'm sure he has a good idea of the costs involved and the labor force availability. I don't think he's making an idle threat.
It also represents a significant opportunity to retool the manufacturing plant using everything they've learned thus far to improve efficiency. The top talent will almost certainly relocate and Texans are generally harder working and more responsible than what you're likely to find in the Bay area. Not to mention that paying people a living wage in Texas is a lot easier than in CA.
Elon Musk is selling all his real estate and most of his possessions because he wants neckbeards on Twitter to stop whining about how much he has so hopefully some might just focus on how much he has accomplished and will accomplish. He give to shits about losing money here or their. He has a hard on for Mars and that is his number 1 goal.
This. In addition, when money ceases to be the primary determining factor, one is left with principle. Even if it costs him, he’ll move it. It will only prove worthy in the future. And now that Tesla is so valuable, they can easily afford the move. I was shocked from the start that they began (and stayed) in CA.
I hope California has fun when everyone that makes money in the state leaves and all you have is people with their hands out looking for free stuff, Hopefully Hollywood goes bankrupt trying to support all the illegal aliens and homeless
do it, they are great.

Conservatives buy Telsas too, bro.

Big shocker...the unelected & ingnorant "Interim Health Officer" looks like a trans.

Adam's apple is a huge tell.
Her neck is intimidating me.
But but but muh based legal immigrants /s
Surprising and manufacturer has a presence in CA, especially the Bay Area.
California really has become 'the Golden Shower State'.

Lots of skills? Like bow hunting and nunchucku?
CA is a den of thieves. The entire government should be rounded up and sent to an island.
Send them to Bikini Atoll and resume nuclear testing
Island? Nah, rope is extremely cheap.

It all depends on what the city/county is willing to give away. Waco is giving him land, no taxes for a long time and more.
I’m sold. Next car will be a Tesla 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪

I'll never understand why he chose CA, anyway. Both Texas AND Nevada are superior to California in every way, from an employers point of view.

Holly wood has already move to Georgia

There are lots of Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Texas. I hope Musk checks it out.
