No, Flynn was already targeted in 2014 for his views on radical Islam and his knowledge on the creation of ISIS by the obama admin. They did it by funding/arming sunni extremists that they called "rebels" that would topple the Syrian government. But the rebels soon became more religious and became ISIS.

I've seen the Communist John Brennan's "Ode to Islam", I have a pretty firm idea of how fucked everything involved was.
