Not disagreeing, just reminded me of something ... my son ran into his first TDS sufferer yesterday. He took a Lyft for some reason, mentioned the wrong thing to the driver (white guy in his fifties he guessed) and showed him some stats on CDC's provisional deaths caused by CV (it says on charts there were 37,000 deaths, so IDK why people keep thinking these numbers are going up to twice that much and counting, except we are being lied to by the Left, who controls the charts out there on the internet, to perpetuate this myth CV is killing everyone in sight. But anyway, he showed him the charts, and the guy thought my son somehow made it up on the spot, and then he kicked him out of the Lyft!! Here are the CDC charts. (Am I looking at this wrong? This is dated May 1, all cases, all states = numbers and deaths between Feb. 1 and Apr. 25 = 37,308.) https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm

Did he report the driver? If you give them a low star rating and report them, it seems that they get blackballed. Definitely works with Uber - that I know.

LOL. No, he didn't. He probably wouldn't report him unless they assaulted him, etc. But he would not do something like that to someone else who had a different opinion than he does, so he was really shocked at the guy's reaction. Really shocked.

My train of thought is if someone kicked me out of their Uber/Lyft/whatever because I had different political opinions/views/etc I would not hesitate to report them. They are representing the company that they are contracted by. If they are unable to do their job like a grown adult, perhaps they should learn the consequences for being childish - by allowing them to continue doing this, they are not learning how to function as a member of a society with diverse opinions/views. Granted, if the driver is in his 50s, it might be a bit late to educate them.

It’s worse than that, hypothetically if someone kicked out someone who said something that hurt their feels while they were driving through a bad area, and said person were robbed or killed, or in the case of a woman raped, then this would be on them and Uber. Drivers that are emotionally unstable enough to throw someone out based on something they said that didn’t agree with their philosophical point of view, should absolutely be reported.

Sorry about the run on sentences, I didn’t know how to separate them lol

LOL, seriously. And them considering diverse opinions, is not gonna happen. Anyway, you got me curious, so I asked him. He said, like I figured originally, he was really just shocked. But then he said he thought, "This guy's an idiot, and I kinda felt sorry for him." That is exactly what he said. He said he hadn't written a review on him yet either, so IDK what he will actually do now, but I also found out if he takes a Lyft, he gives them cross-streets, not exact street address, and I didn't know that, so that is kind of a relief if he give a not so great review. The driver, if he wanted to retaliate, couldn't. You are right, we give the Lefties all kinds of breaks. They have a difference of opinion, cuss us out, they don't even know us, never talked to us before, but treat us like crap, act entitled, and we expect it, and allow it. Why?

You know, it's not too late to report the driver there's still a window of time to do it.

There is much fake news surrounding this, including here on TD.win.

The page you linked has the explanation: it is compiled with death certificates submitted to the NCHS, which is only one part of the CDC. They do not record it until they receive the death certificate, which takes 1-8 weeks.

In contrast, most other compilations of the COVID-19 deaths are derived from reports by state and county health departments. Those typically only take a few days, but are sometimes delayed by a weekend. In addition to many private sources, even a different part of the CDC compiles this data.

The data appears to be in conflict, until you look at archives of the page you cited. You'll notice that two weeks ago, the count for week ending 4/25 was substantially smaller than what the page says today, and the count for week ending 4/18 was also reduced, albeit by a smaller percentage.

Another way to resolve the apparent conflict: add up the number of deaths, so that you have a total since 2/1 for each week. Then, compare those totals to a source that compiles county/state health data, like this:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Spez: scroll down to the graph entitled Total Coronavirus Deaths in the United States. You can hover over the plotted line and it will pop-up the date and death count. Move your mouse around until you find the date(s) you want.

You'll find that that the totals converge 2-3 weeks ago, indicating that the bulk of death certificates are submitted to the NCHS at the CDC within 2-3 weeks.

No one is lying, other than the people that are knowingly trying to convince you that the discrepancy between the NCHS/CDC data and county/state health data is evidence of a conspiracy. Some of them are apparently clueless, but it's hard to miss all the explanations. It's on that page in at least three places.

No one was trying to convince me, the person that posted this, like myself, was not sure what this meant and if it meant less numbers of cases than first thought, or what.
So what is this - partial numbers or preliminary numbers from one part of the CDC? I am really not following what you are saying. All I know is worldometers is totally set up by the Left, and every death imaginable, is being attributed to CV and we will never have even a rough idea what caused many of the deaths, and if people were even actually tested and had it, or were even near anyone who actually had it or was actually even tested. That is not even a prerequisite - you do not have to test to call it a CV death. Yet some deaths are attributed to CV because a relative who they were supposedly near, supposedly had an asymptomatic case. But we do not know if that is true or made up and no one has to prove a thing. That is nowhere near close enough to prove it was CV-related IMHO, and never before would a standard like that have been acceptable!!!

The Health Department in various locations had to send out directive to give doctors the rules on how to attribute, or they must attribute, every case possible to CV and I think it is appalling, yet we cant go back and see if people were lying, and prove any of these people did or didn't even have CV, never mind it contributing to their cause of death. Like one suicide and car accidents. They supposedly had it, but it had nothing to do with why they died. Yet they count them.

This is ridiculously unfair and IDK if the President or his people, who are even on his side, supposed, have a clue how fake and set up this actually is,and how low the standard is to attribute a death to CV. It is appalling in fact the lies being told to ramp up the numbers.

The truth would be nice for once from the Left but the end justifies the means and anything goes regarding anything apparently these days. Investigating how bad it is will never happen and since the Left controls MSM, and MSM will hide this, and You Tube will remove You Tube videos, and none of this will ever even be questioned or told to the people. If people do not dig like crazy, they don't realize the extent of this deception we are living. Like Hydroxychloroquine. How many have died for not being allowed to have that, for thinking it doesn't work? It does work and the Left wants deaths, not lives saved. But JMHO, and it is not worth much.

Again, your answer was on the page you cited. It's hard to miss:

Note: Provisional death counts are based on death certificate data received and coded by the National Center for Health Statistics as of May 8, 2020. Death counts are delayed and may differ from other published sources (see Technical Notes). Counts will be updated periodically. Additional information will be added to this site as available.

and:

Data during this period are incomplete because of the lag in time between when the death occurred and when the death certificate is completed, submitted to NCHS and processed for reporting purposes. This delay can range from 1 week to 8 weeks or more, depending on the jurisdiction, age, and cause of death.

and:

Provisional death counts may not match counts from other sources, such as media reports or numbers from county health departments. Our counts often track 1–2 weeks behind other data for a number of reasons: Death certificates take time to be completed.

This, and more explanation is on the page that you originally linked. At first, I thought you just missed it. Now, I realize you are willfully ignorant of it, because it it doesn't support your claims of some kind of malfeasance.

Look, I said something along the lines that the person who posted the CDC chart originally and I, both were not sure what it meant, and I said that. Twice. And excuse the Hell out of me if you understand what the chart is saying better than I do. I really do not care. What I am really bothered by the worldometers charts, and site in general, which are purposely and obviously run by the Left. and then sadly taken as gospel by most people who did not notice all the signs that it is not giving just the facts, and run by fair & impartial people trying to get the facts out. Far from it. It is a lefty site, made and meant to ramp up the numbers daily, frighten people, make them demand we stay home at least till post-election, and meanwhile, make them believe everything is the President's fault. No one care for the people like he does, that is a lie. It is all a prelude to stealing the election. Then I would absolutely guess the Left intends to bring up the pandemic as a tool, every time they want to force us to do something, or else, else for the next century.
What the Left is doing it the true horror show. The only reason blue state governors are screaming for tests is not for the good of their constituents, but so they can say they test like crazy, and find "X" amount of new cases daily, jack up those numbers, and scare and brainwash everyone. No, they don't test to that extent, and I know it. But if they HAVE a million test kits, they can sure say they did test that many people!!! I know how they think. In some states it is nearly impossible to get a test and unless hospitalized or the govt wants you cleared to work, because their people are working. The numbers are fake. It is sad and pathetic we are being lied to by a site set up by God knows who, but I have a pretty good idea, and it is misleading the people -- which is the ONLY point of that chart.
And you attack me and say I am "willfully ignorant of it, because it it doesn't support my claims of some kind of malfeasance" WRONG. All I want is the truth, but it is not going to happen, because that is NOT THE AGENDA of the Left.
