Heck, I have seen hourly forecasts be wrong! Like when it's partly cloudy outside and the forecast literally calls for rain in the next hour which never comes. Even saw the current conditions read "rain" when it was sunny. Puzzled, I looked at the radar and saw a tiny little green dot like five miles away.
The woman that did a review of the code got it right, nobody outside of the insurance industry should be doing modeling because when their money is not on the line, they have no clue what's right or wrong.
Exactly this. "Killer Virus" is the new Climate Change. Even better, the Virus is caused by Climate Change because we did nothing about it, and the effects are immediate! No ten year long wait!
So the virus models are as accurate as climate models, got it.
The really funny (or sad, as you like) part is that virus models are hella simpler than climate models.
Thankfully we don't shut the country down because of crappy climate models ... yet.
