Most of leftist social media is fake. It’s hard to say how many people actually believe any of it, or are real when you read tweets like that.

Still, the end game for all this, ‘democratic’ socialism, would be hilarious if it wasn’t so scary. It’s just communism again. Surprise! The politicians supporting it won’t even let people vote for a real candidate. They also won’t let people vote for or against an unconstitutional lockdown. They won’t even risk a real election and are against Voter ID and pushing mail in voting so they can cheat. They rig their own primaries. They fake hate attacks on themselves.

Do these really sound like the kind of people that are going to allow real votes and elections to decide how government money is allocated? They lost an election 4 years ago and have spent the time since throwing progressive temper tantrums that have now tanked the economy.

There’s no ‘democratic’ part of socialism. It’s just communism again, but with more propaganda, and the introduction of fake voting on preselected issues while the government does whatever the fuck it wants like they’re kings and queens.

I agree with much of your post. But the opposition is not fake - it springs from ENVY like Marxism does.

Elon Musk is rich and can say what the fuck he wants - and so people hate him. Lots of people hate him simply because he is incredibly successful.

Most people don't understand fascism, socialism and communism - how they are related and often come together..

But it doesn't matter - they understand envy. They understand eat the rich. They legitimately think that Bloomberg could have given 1 million dollars to every American. Dems don't want to save the poor they want to fuck up any successful people and take advantage of that envy.

It's a slave morality - and it's the overwhelming moral backbone of the 20th and now 21st century.

It's these envious types that provide the engine for the "progressives" to drive us straight over the cliff. And it's working.

According to wikipedia - Politically, Musk has described himself as "half Democrat, half Republican" and "I'm somewhere in the middle, socially liberal and fiscally conservative." In 2018, he stated that he was "not a conservative. I'm registered independent [and] politically moderate." Prompted by the emergence of artificial intelligence, Musk has voiced support for a universal basic income; he additionally backs direct democracy. He has described himself as a socialist, but "not the kind that shifts resources from most productive to least productive, pretending to do good, while actually causing harm" – arguing instead, "true socialism seeks greatest good for all." He supports targeting an inclusive tax rate of 40%, prefers consumption taxes to income taxes, and supports the estate tax, as the "probability of progeny being equally excellent at capital allocation is not high." In an interview with The Washington Post, Musk stated he was a "significant (though not top-tier) donor to Democrats," but that he also gives heavily to Republicans. Musk further stated that political contributions are a requirement in order to have a voice in the United States government. Musk had been a supporter of the U.S. political action committee (PAC) FWD.us, which was started by fellow high-profile entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg and advocates for immigration reform. However, in May 2013, Musk publicly withdrew his support in protest of advertisements the PAC was running that supported causes like the Keystone Pipeline.

Here is the tweet where he calls himself a socialist

Although he's big on licensing or making his tech available for others - there's still lots of IP he doesn't want being disclosed to China.

Fun fact - China has by law the ability to do whatever they want with any tech made in China. It's why many have already been leaving for Vietnam, Taiwan and India. India is lleast favorable btw - seriously - it's 'possible' but there needs to be an education revolution in India before I'd take my business there. India's 'skilled labor' has been severely limited for over 30 years in spite of their hype (for too many factors to pin down any 'one reason').

Bet that's not going into the quarterly reports at Apple.

8
ClownTamer 8 points ago +8 / -0

It’s difficult to say how much of big tech is leaving CA when in general everybody’s still flooding into it. Virus obviously curbed that momentarily, but housing prices were still continuing to rise to crazy stupid levels in the Bay, and in general it’s mostly been going downhill over time. There certainly are people trying to hop to Texas or CO, but they mostly seem like the people that don’t want to compete with the hyper saturated market of tech competition out here, and are sick of the Bay’s bullshit. All the big players like Apple, Google, and Facebook are still hunkering down and trying to build their own cities. They’re most likely going to resort to paying them in their own company currencies at some point, as odd as that sounds.

I don’t really think there’s an end game. Most of the people pulling the big strings on all this are older and don’t really look on the internet much. They’re somewhat told how things are going and being perceived by high paid consultants telling them it’s all going great. There’s no end game here.

People here still complain that all other states leech off of and live off CA like ungrateful children. I’m wondering when the irony is going to set in that were heavily in debt and take more federal funding than almost anybody. It’s unclear where all that money goes outside of embezzlement. Infrastructure’s dying. They won’t even let people build new homes out here. It’s either embezzlement or burning. The UC system itself is sitting on millions and firing workers off and outsourcing things. It’s a big mess that’s only propped up by rich hopefuls that think they’re the next Steve Jobs.

9
stonepony 9 points ago +9 / -0

If it weren't for the high birth rate illegals moving in to California, the state would have a negative population growth. It's why Austin has been, by far, the fastest growing city in America.

5
ClownTamer 5 points ago +5 / -0

Guess it depends on which part of CA. I know in the Bay, people are living 6 to a 1 bedroom apartment and scrambling over each other for places to live. Most people here are not from around here, and there are more international folks than anyone I know has ever seen anywhere. Even international people I know that exclusively deal with international business and people say that they’ve never seen so many foreigners in one place as in the Bay. Being white isn’t a minority, but it isn’t far off. It’s all Asian and Indian now. It used to be the Full House folks.

FliesTheFlag 8 points ago +8 / -0

They’re most likely going to resort to paying them in their own company currencies at some point, as odd as that sounds.

I think its going to turn into these tech companies buying or building slave homes for their employees. You can make 100k/yr at those places and still have to share an apartment with 6 other people right now.

7
The_Bloofy_Bullshark 7 points ago +7 / -0

Hell, if you can, create an account on Blind. Look at the TC for jobs in the area. $350k-$500k and you’re still living in poverty. A friend of mine From university got a job as a DBA right out of college with a TC around $150k... she lived in a house with 4 roommates and was slumming it. She’s clearing $250k/year nowadays and still lives as if she is a contractor. Taxed to high hell and the remaining money goes towards insanely high rent, bills, expenses.

Elon is already positioned to be out. His gigafactory in NV - last I heard - was not only devoted to powercell production, but to expand the car building.

This may have teeth because if it's already making 'some' cars. It can easily be expanded to make 'all' cars.

He's already fishing other states for production of the Cybertruck (my fave).

5
3
AtariArtist 3 points ago +3 / -0

It has a pneumatic lifting suspension (that's part of the rear autoloading feature). It's also the reason it has the highest clearance of any production truck for offroading. It's has multimodal heights for off road and on road.

It does have a wicked top-hill profile, but it's entry-exit clearance is spectacular.

I'm partial to the cargo options because I need the all-flat edge-to-edge bed space and I love the vault design and the covering system. Plus the secure storage is all over the rear hull since the drive train being electric opens up tons more storage capacity.

*lastly I'm in AZ - tons of free sun to store and charge overnight and a range of 500 miles or more is fine for my needs. That and we have the largest nuclear power generation in the nation. Been doing a lot of power research for a future project I want to build. Remind me sometime how anyone making new homes can save 90 percent of their HVAC regardless of solar or conventional power. I've been researching liquid chillers and heat exchangers tied to cooling ponds (using an infinity pool) which when combined can shave 90 percent of the cooling costs in the desert. Hell, there's even options for using thermal exchangers in sand-cores for electrical storage via silica heating (haven't checked efficiency - but for piping solar on a large scale it's pretty impressive).

And a ridiculous gun policy that unfortunately got somewhat started because of Reagan. Only mistake he did. Well, after secretly selling missiles to Iran, but hey, no one's perfect.

But if California wasn't so fucked up, it would be a nice place to live. Nice beaches, Oregon and Washington state nearby and fucking amazing women (although rare, there are pretty hot ones there, like Tomi Lahren)

Also blockchain based is just useless buzzword. Social media is impossible with it because blockchain isn’t mutable. Decentralize is possible only to an extent (think bitchute). It still needs servers but the streaming part can use BitTorrent like bitchute does. This won’t work for social media though as it needs a centralized database.

How California Lawmakers are treating a legal immigrant from Africa who is begging to provide thousands jobs in their state.

Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Musk briefly attended the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada when he was 17 to attend Queen's University. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania two years later, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School and a bachelor's degree in physics from the College of Arts and Sciences.
