If you are not blown away from reading the above link. You don't have a heartbeat. How did Obama know all about Flynn which surprised Yates in the oval office? Code name for NSA spying database that was repurposed from legally tracking terrorists to illegally monitoring ALL US Citizens code named "the Hammer". Goes back way before 2016.

The CTH article is great, but you shouldn't connect it to Flynn.

Flynn was talking to a Russian ambassador. That's a legal intercept, and most likely has always been in place. ANYONE in the US talking to a Russian ambassador is probably being recorded.

But, this is why it's stupid to think Flynn would knowingly lie about his call with the ambassador: As a result of Flynn's prior position in the Obama administration, Flynn would have known he was being recorded. If you knew that you had been recorded, why on earth would you lie about the call?

This occurred during the transition period, and Flynn was likely having several calls a day with people inside and outside the future Trump administration. I don't remember the exact timeline, but I think about two months had elapsed between his call with the Russian ambassador and his "interview" with the FBI. I barely remember all the phone calls I had last week, and my life is far less complicated than Flynn's life during that time.

From what I remember about the charges against Flynn, he never made a flat denial about talking to the ambassador, or even about the contents of the call. And the agent's report said they didn't believe Flynn was intentionally lying when he didn't remember the details.

100% agree with you. My point is Flynn knew, Obama knew, and Yates "claimed" she didn't know until then. Evidence to support that Obama was getting info outside the DOJ realm. We all know that Kislyak would have been monitored via CIA, but who did all the Flynn surveillance outside the calls with foreign officials? Obama knew all and everything about Flynn - illegally. Not just the call with Kislyak.

Yates probably wasn't "read in" to all the monitoring. And yes, it would have been outside the DoJ realm, because they aren't supposed to get involved unless it's a domestic offense.

Obama was obviously tipped off by someone in the CIA or NSA who would have been routinely listening to the ambassador's calls. But, there's nothing illegal about that. We monitor foreign dignitaries in the US, and we expect our dignitaries to be monitored by them. Trump has said he expected every moment of his trips to Russia to be monitored, even before he ran for President.

Where Obama crossed the line: he saw the opportunity to send the FBI after Flynn and remove him from the playing field before Flynn used his knowledge of Obama's shenanigans to take Obama down, or at least the Obamaites left over.

Don't forget that Flynn was fired by Obama in 2014 (allegedly for "mismanagement and temperament issues") and warned Trump against hiring Flynn. In retrospect, it looks like Flynn was fired because he didn't go along with the Obama administration's abuse of the FISA database for political purposes. See the CTH timeline you cited: it began in 2012.

I suspect Flynn was too patriotic to try to take down the FISA abuse from outside, by leaking classified information. But, as a member of the Trump administration, he would have been in a position to clean it up without airing the dirty laundry. The abusers would have been allowed to resign to "pursue other opportunities", without revealing the capabilities and tipping off our enemies.

But, Obama was too arrogant to let that happen, and thought he could sideline Flynn and tangle up Trump, limiting his ability to address the abuse. And, Democrats would remain in position to abuse the FISA system to spy on political opponents.

Of course, this last part is speculation on my part. But, if any of it is true, Obama's hubris will be his ultimate undoing. The Misleadia can't cover for him forever.

I've asked multiple people to consider: what would you say if you found out Bush had done to Obama what Obama did to Trump? Do you think that would be a scandal? The inevitable response: Trump needed investigation. Then, I pointed out that there were all kinds of question about Obama at the beginning of his administration.

The predictable response: that was all bullshit. And I ask: so, what did all of the investigations of Trump find? Nothing! That's when they change the subject.
