What are the repercussions for someone attacking our rights? Survey says: nothing. That's right! We all assume people can get into trouble for stomping on the Constitution, but what are the punishments for doing so? There are none written down.

[Insert lurker_chan opinion]: I doubt "death penalty" flies in this scenario, so what about fines? No one is fined for breaking our constitutional rights. The left isn't hit where it hurts them; their wallet. How about we start demanding daily fines for breaking our rights, payable to the one whose rights were trampled be written into law? Everyone's precious ADA fines are a thing, so why can't constitutional fines exist? They apply to everyone equally (since the left is soo obsessed with equality), they are more important than any other law and should be protected as such, and there are no repercussions written into law for breaking them?

Is a 1776 really the only option we should have at our disposal? By naming and writing punishments into law for breaking our rights, I think we could see a very real turnaround from leftist china-hole cities and states as well as RINOs.

Potential problems:

  1. Law makers are complicit in stripping our rights and won't write punishments that would hurt them into law
  2. Increase in law suits creating an even more litigious society thus feeding a larger gov
  3. Puts the onus on the gov the punish itself. That rarely works out
  4. Potential for twisted litigation that could end up harming more than helping

Idk, with so many people worried about being fined for certain [leftist] things (ADA, EEO, Affirmative Action, Gay cakes, "wax my balls bigot", etc.) I think we should have repercussions for our inalienable rights as they are far more important than any other law. This would make holding the gov more accountable and be a stumbling block smashed in the way of socialism and commies.

I'd like to see an active and severe punishment for infringing upon a law abiding citizens' rights. Only a fine won't do. Prison and stripping away any political power or influence and civic office of any kind forevermore. See how quickly they change their tune once the threat of losing their power and money is concerned.

The process is slow and complicated and even sways from left to right sometimes [see; abortion] but our constitution is the highest legal authority in the land. This is why the left REEE so much every time a conservative judge is put on SCOTUS.

Here is a good look at historical cases per each amendment:

This is in the US Code: https://www.justice.gov/crt/deprivation-rights-under-color-law

Theoretically the offender could face prison. I imagine if there is a convicition, you could sue the governmental entity for any financial harm.
