I mean, when you really think about the implications here, it's:

"White guy kills someone."

"HOLY SHIT BREAKING NEWS ONE WHITE PERSON FINALLY SNAPPED."

"Black guy kills someone."

"Eh. Something has to be rare or unusual to justify a slot on our program."

Really, what they're saying is that we need to step up our murder game until wholesale slaughter of black folk just doesn't make the cut for the 6 o'clock fake news. Like Chicago.
