Do people actually just go walking into houses under construction? What the fuck were these people taught. I don’t even walk through someone’s yard without permission or a close personal relationship with the owner.
We did the same growing up, and I never thought anything of it. There were never any tools left behind that I remember and it was just a shell of a house with no door. They were fresh new neighborhoods being built right down the street from us and we wanted to see what they looked like before anyone started moving in. I still don’t think there’s necessarily anything wrong with it. It may technically be trespassing, but there was no door, they were still owned by the building company at that point and there were no “keep out” signs.
Do people actually just go walking into houses under construction?
Yes. Some do it to steal stuff. Kids do it because they are kids. Adults will sometimes do it out of curiosity. Neighbors will check out a new house to see what is being chosen.
When my house was being built we had all kinds of people walking in to see what it would look like. Of course that was a development and the builder left the house unlocked during the day for the various contractors.
Sure. I did it with a few houses being built in my neighborhood. It was fascinating to see, and it's not illegal. I obviously didn't steal anything, I was just looking around. It's kinda like exploring abandoned places. Same kinda vibe.
It has to be posted properly, which it rarely is on home construction sites. It's extremely common and they don't care, as long as you're not moving stuff or stealing. The company that built my house said "Your neighbors will go into the house during construction" in a 'don't get mad if they do' kinda way. Though, this kinda thing depends on the state, so, YMMV.
In this particular case I'm not sure trespassing justifies killing the guy
They wouldn't have killed him if he didn't try to take their shotgun.
He's a multiple time criminal, who just got caught committing a felony. Trespassing with intent to commit burglary is a felony in Georgia.
He chose an attempted murder instead of going to prison for an extended period of time. He got shot while both he and the younger McMichael were holding the shotgun. It's very likely he shot himself trying to wrench the gun away from its owner.
The McMichaels, one of which is retired law enforcement, were simply going to stop the man from further fleeing the crime scene until the police arrived. The police were already called by the time the McMichaels engaged in pursuit.
If they wanted to kill him, they would have just pulled up along side him and shot him without stopping the vehicle. It would be easy with that shotgun. Or, they could have just run him over in their full size pickup.
Instead, they chose to attempt to block the road. If they wanted to shoot him, they have already passed on several much easier and less dangerous opportunities before the deceased attempts to wrestle the gun away.
In my opinion, the first neighbor who called the cops should have just walked across the street with a shotgun and stopped him there, and then called the police. Would have saved everyone a lot of time and two innocent men wouldn't be in jail right now.
Same thing as Trayvon Martin case, he saw the men stopped in front of him, saw they were armed, but chose to attack, rather than flee or surrender.
He could have stopped, he could have ran off the into the side yards or woods, or turned back the opposite direction. would have saved his life, although he probably would have still been arrested.
And just like Zimmerman, the men in chasing him could have called it off, or made sure he never got close enough to them for him to even try to attack.
It might have been better for everyone if they would have not tried to force the confrontation by stopping the truck, but legally, they did not break the law, and he did break the law when he attacked them,
I am a staunch 2A defender, but they probavly did breakk the law. Most likely they will be determined to have brandished a weapon, which means any response from him was self defense. Remember, he didn't do anything violent or aggressive. We don't know if he was doing something wrong, but there is no evidence he was a deadly threat. A random person showing up with a gun and demanding you stop, while brandishing a gun, is easily interpretable as a threatening act.
This opinion is based on the video and evidence we have. I see a lot of speculation about a hammer earlier and such. They are still going to have to deal with chasing him down. This is a hard one to say the two guys didn't create the deadly situation. Even if the guy who was killed can't be completely absolved of some responsibility once all the facts are on the table.
They wouldn't have killed him if he didn't try to take their shotgun.>
Some strangers confront you with loaded guns and pointing them at you. You have two choices. 1.) Die 2.) Try and kill the motherfuckers. You can't out run a gun or a truck. Someone confronts me with a gun I am not running. I will fight. It's the only chance you have. They created a fight to the death situation.
Someone confronts me with a gun I am not running. I will fight. It's the only chance you have.
You are a piece of shit.
The homeowners didn't create a life or death situation. They caught a piece of shit, retarded, waste of life like yourself committing a felony and were simply asking him to stop running until the police arrived. The burglar created the life or death situation when he used his sub 80 iq jogging noggin to come up with the idea to try to grab a man's shotgun.
I hadn't been keeping track either, just thought it looked like a terrible thing happened and the father/son should be subject to capital punishment. So they're trying to set up another Ferguson, which set racial progress in our country backwards about 30 years. Great.
Daily Mail used to be a good site, but then they started making you turn off adblockers to look at it and it crashes my browser all the time with all of its shitty ads.
TIL if someone confronts you with a shotgun and you already dropped your hammer in the road, maybe listen what he has to say instead of grabbing the barrel and trying to take it away and shoot him with it.
I've also learned over the years that when cop is sitting in his car looking at you, you don't poke through his window and try to grab is gun. But if you do this and get shot then at least you will have massive BLM marches calling it all racist.
Moved to Atlanta in 1992...at the height of the Rodney King verdict riots. I'm sure this will be just as bad when those 2 gentlemen are found not guilty.
Yeah, I'm hoping they get acquitted as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I'm concerned this will be dragged out. The only consolation of it being dragged out is that we are approaching the summer months.
Georgia gets pretty warm. I believe warm temperatures, especially hot temperatures are more conducive to riots.
A true riot, like they used to have, being recorded and live streamed would surely red pill a lot of fence sitters on inner city joggers.
stealing roughed in wire is another thing these bastards do. The good thing about recycling metals now a days is that you need to sign your name and show an ID for amounts over 15# IIRC.
I definitely like to jog the last mile through yards and houses. You know... taking in the sights... making sure things are up to code. It's a civic duty friends.
Holy fucking spicy!
*russiagate is crumbling, not Spygate. Spygate’s just getting started.
Which site, where he wrote this fake article?

Your mom should have had you guys in sports and had more to do with her time.
I'm sorry to hear that. That's rough.

That make sense. Thanks.
Now I can be certain the Wuflu shit has run its course, they are cuing up this summer's dindu riots.

Both of these idiots had a... moment. Boondocks featured a great documentary on this social phenomenon.

Fuck you, you gun grabbing piece of shit.
They didn't break any laws, and you're a retard.
Open carry is legal in Georgia. Performing a citizen's arrest on a suspect fleeing a felony is perfectly legal.
Grabbing another man's shotgun? Very illegal and definitely deserving of death.
Fuck you. The facts are: the McMichael family is innocent, Arbery is retard who deserved to get shot dead.
Here is your reply. You are wrong and your anger and insult doesn't cover your ignorance.
Some strangers confront you with loaded guns and pointing them at you. You have two choices. 1.) Die 2.) Try and kill the motherfuckers. You can't out run a gun or a truck. Big internet tough guy.
Says the retard who just said,
You are a piece of shit.

Consider suicide.

Why would you think this? Did you believe the jogger story? If so, why?
Well because as I said, I wasn't following it at all - I only saw the video and read he was a "jogger" taking a jog in "his own neighborhood"
Believe me pede, I understand the entire backstory now. They're needing another Ferguson, but something tells me it ain't gonna work this time
Thank you for your honesty.
Where is the video that this screen shot is from?
They've only released the first seven seconds of that video, because the jogger obviously does some jogging pretty quickly after that.
https://youtu.be/Q7N6bC5cnVU
Unfortunately, they haven't released the inside the house video in its entirety.
Gee. I wonder why.
Daily Mail used to be a good site, but then they started making you turn off adblockers to look at it and it crashes my browser all the time with all of its shitty ads.
I've been on adblock plus for many years, is ublock better?
Cool I made the switch. I'll let you know if it's less good.
Oh shit I can read the Daily Mail again!
Yes.
Blockada works for Android.
Oh shit they have ad blockers for phones now? I'm out of the loop, I don't use my phone for browsing unless I'm in dire circumstances.
TIL if someone confronts you with a shotgun and you already dropped your hammer in the road, maybe listen what he has to say instead of grabbing the barrel and trying to take it away and shoot him with it.
That is an astute observation

Seems pretty simple to me. He didn't die because he was running, he didn't die because he was black, or because he trespassed or anything like that.
He died because he charged at someone with a gun and tried to fist fight them. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
can you tell me what he would have done once he got control of the shotgun?
obviously drop it and continue jogging
Haha 😆 mUh oBvIoUsLy
I don't need to know what he would have done if he got the gun. Knowing what he DID do before he got the gun is enough to justify the shooting.
Normal jogging behavior.

I read that many LA Koreans moved to Atlanta too, right after the King riots.
They probably can't believe they'll get to reprieve their "rooftop" roles.
Who doesn't love a good sequel?
Well fortunately they will only burn their own neighborhood down.
You guys are seriously still building houses out of sticks? Steel beams are the way to go.
Hammerjoggin!!!
Black supremacists with guns are now patrolling the streets. Will the media call them out?
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8303973/Cops-review-new-video-man-appears-Ahmaud-Arbery-minutes-killing.html
They're going to burn down that house for certain as soon as the men are acquitted. It's disgusting.
The family will have to move, or they'll never be safe.
You mean black racists are walking around with guns they don't know how to use properly looking to shoot white people.
In the woods like Hillary.

Shame on a jogger who try to run game on a responsible neighbor and his son Who buck wild with the trigger
Oof
Jaromir Jagr
I just read this happened two months ago but the press pulled it out now to spread all across the airwaves to take the spotlight off the Flynn case.
Whatever he did or did not do, he shouldn't have been shot down by two assholes in a pickup truck.
What car should they have been driving asshole? Sounds like maybe you're a bigot.
They shouldn't have been playing cop!
They shouldn't have been playing cop!
They weren't. They were exercising their rights to make a citizens arrest which we all share. Stop being a drama queen.
Fuck you, retard.
OK.
