Two weekends ago, my grandfather (87) fell and broke his hip. His hip surgery went perfect but there was an outbreak at this hospital and he got the Wuhan Virus.
He started with influenza like symptoms such as muscle pain. Mainly his lower back. He had a low grade fever and had already tested negative three times.
On the fourth test he tested positive and was moved to what they call a “hot floor”. This morning he had a 101,5F fever and was being given oxygen.
Good news tonight. He has a 100,3F fever, 94% oxygen level. He’s getting 2 litres an hour of oxygen and he’s eating three meals a day.
Visits are not allowed. I will call tomorrow for more news.
I need your prayers. He needs your prayers. We need everyone’s prayers.
Just like election night at 3AM or election morning at midnight in Michigan, I’ve been crying on and off like a baby.
Taking it one hour at a time. One day at a time. I don’t have the Amish to count on or the great people of northern Florida either. But I have you. my wife. and the rest of my family.

no fever today. oxygen levels good. getting off the oxygen slowly. was at 1L today and now at 0,5L.

Can you get him some hydroxychloroquine and zinc if he's still having problems? I pray and hope that everything works out for you. God Bless!
You and your grandfather are in my prayers, friend. You should check with whomever is caring for him to see if he's been getting Hydroxychloroquine, Z-pac, and zinc. Everything we've heard is saying those are the best things to take for this.

it really is shitty they cant come up with some way for visits. even if it has to be a video call or talking on a phone through glass somehow. putting these patients on their own in a hospital where they dont know what's going to happen to them is not right
Pumping the oxygen seems to be the key. Also some people are more likely to die than others, we have no clue why though yet. Tons of old people have beaten it.
Way way more. It seems to hit some families more than others, maybe it only likes certain blood types.

Call it whatever you'd like, but in my book that's the same. You are so close that you are already there and just don't know it. Why hold thoughts and focus intention? Because it matters.

My grandpa is the same age. That generation is filled with tough as nails, hard headed patriots. I dread the day I’m in your shoes. So far, mine has enjoyed relatively decent health besides early stage dementia. I wish your grandfather the best, and keep staying positive.
