It's too bad, because Carter was a genuinely good person, and an incredibly smart man. His work, post presidency, is really remarkable. But he was an absolute shit president. Just goes to show how a lot of character traits that people don't consider "presidential," are actually necessary to do the job well, and a lot of characteristics people want for a president, really don't correlate to being a good president.
